Blended Asks/Solicitations for MG Prospects

We currently use Solicitations to track our Moves Management system, and am eagerly looking forward to Plans.  I have a question about how folks track "Blended" asks in Solicitations without double counting.  We use a "Major Gift Prospect" solicitation to track all major gift prospect activity. We also use solicitations to accurately track our Annual Fund asks and goals.  Some of our Major Gift asks might be a combination of an Annual Fund ask, and a gift outside of the AF, but we'd like to track the total ask amount in the MG Solicitation, along with all the Moves.  We can only use one designation, so right off the bat the solicitation has a limitation. How are you all tracking blended asks?

Thanks

At City Center we have hit the same limitation.  We split our Solicitations by Designation.  The only thing that combines them is a note, something like "Part of $50K overall FY13 ask."

We have custom reports that will group separately-designated contributions together based on a common appeal, which helps us when gifts come in.
