matching gift creditees

When I enter Matching Gifts, I have noticed that in the Companies' record it says the constituent is the creditees but when looking in the constituents record it says they are the creditees.  Am I doing something wrong or is there not a way to get the creditee to be the matching gift company displayed in the constituents record?

  • The tab can only say one thing it is not reciprocal.  So whether you are in the Company record or the actual creditee record the tab will say the same thing.

When in the creditee record this does not make sense BUT there is other info – the soft credit line is shaded differently and if you pull the  gray bar over to the right on the soft credit line you will see the Creditor Name (in this case the Matching Gift Company name).

    Hi Jesse,

Not certain where you are looking, but I’m guessing that it might be the relationship tab that you are referring to.   In V10, Associations would show Employer/Employee, Creditor/Creditee, etc.  depending on which account you were in.  However, in V11, we have discovered that Affiliations only show one portion of this.  So whatever you pick, will only show that entry in both.  For our organization we have changed to just a generic Employed Affiliation so that it will be consistent and there won’t be 2 Affiliations being used.  (Someone else might be able to explain the details of why that happens better.)

    Hope that helps.
