Thanks for getting this thread started, Jeff! It was great to see Open Space Discussions in action at last week’s VATUG meeting and I love the idea of continuing the conversations here in the forum for all to participate and learn together.

Hi all, We had our first in-person Virginia TUG Meeting on January 19th (yesterday as I write this). I think there was a great deal of successful conversation and a lot of good to come of growing our relationships in the region. Part of our afternoon was devoted to Open Space Discussion. If you couldn't be there to experience it and you're curious, lets just say that Open Space is a method of building a self-organizing agenda based upon what is actually most important to the participants in the room. If any of our discussion conveners want to pick up their topics and add more discussions to this VATUG forum, I would be very grateful, and I think we would all benefit from recaps of what anyone learned in their discussions.
