Hi all,
I’d like to stage a discussion at the conference on the things that make our lives with IT difficult. What technology, supplier, trend, industry practice, organisational issue would you be happy to see confined to the dusty corner of the old props store, never to be seen again?
This session is intended partly to air and share our problems, but I don’t want it to be about negativity. I’m sure there are some items that are in the past and best left there (the dot com hype!), but other items can be used to set a context for the IT crystal ball session which takes place later in the conference. We’ve identified challenges, problems, annoyances, so what is on the horizon that will enable us to address, avoid or even turn these things to our advantage.
I’m also hoping that it isn’t just IT people that contribute to the discussion. As a user of IT in your organisation, what are the aspects of IT that put barriers in your way? If you don’t tell us we won’t know!
A word of caution though – nothing personal. I don’t want people to be proposing their line manager, network manager, the whole of the IT department, the marketing team and so on…
If anybody wants more information or even to sit on the 101 panel please feel free to do so.
Chris
