Constituent photos

Hi Beth,

I’ve implemented it as a proof of concept, and it works a treat.

1.    save image at specific size and format and put on server

2.    configure header to show the image (where the constituent ID is the file name)

Should then be relatively simple to have a report include the file (but I haven’t tried this bit yet)

Would be happy to help if you need more info.

I know that some people do because it was discussed at the Tessitura conference in the UK this year, but I couldn’t name any places off the top of my head! But if I find any I’ll let you know

We were talking about this the other day for use on tickets for ID purposes for some large events to try and stop touts/re-sellers. I know they use it for some festivals, do you know of any Tessitura venues using it?

Hi Beth,

I was exploring options one day and came across it in the documentation. I’m not sure where it lives in the main help system (or if it is there) but I searched the network website for ‘custom header’ and it was the first result. Near the end of the doc, round about page 30, it references bitmap images.

So…

I created a bitmap image

put it on our RAMP server

edited our infomaker report (that creates the header) as per the instructions above and hey presto!

My ultimate plan was to be able to add constituent images, say board members or similar group, to a custom report simply by pulling in their image (which is named after their constituent ID)

So all the tools are there, no add-ons needed.

Happy to pick up the phone and explain in detail anytime if you want more.
