Hello all
It was lovely to see lots of you at The Sage Gateshead for this year's conference. As mentioned on the day, this post is designed to start a discussion about the possibilities for the 2010 conference. Here are the main aims:
1 To collect feedback about what kind of format might work for next year's conference - possibly something similar to this year with a 1 day format, but with more defined areas of focus to be planned by the people who know those topics best?
2 To ask for a volunteer or volunteers to collate this feedback and start the planning process for next year (not necessarily taking on the whole conference or committing their organisation to host)
3 To suggest that planning for next year could involve a committee with UK members sharing the responsibility for organising the conference
I am now passing the baton to the UK group to take it from here!
Katie.
Hi Katie
Great idea to have a planning committee, and also someone to collate the feedback - I'm happy to put together a Survey Monkey questionnaire that can be sent out to all attendees if people think that's a good idea - Gary/Kathleen/anyone else - perhaps you could email me ideas for some questions to be asked? Obviously happy to be on the planning committee as well, again Gary/Kathleen/anyone else, this could be a final question on the questionnaire.
I think splitting over two days could be a good idea but this will increase costs for attendees and also possibly be a stretch on the host venue as it's effectively blocking off conference spaces that could be used for higher revenue. Again, to be discussed when the venue is being discussed!
Look forward to more responses

Happy to get involved in planning the next UK user group meeting plus also happy to volunteer the Centre as a potential venue for the "UK conference".
Best wishes
David.
