Indeed these are crazy times we have here. We had a remarkably poignant discussion last SydTUG (6 March) on how COVID-19 was going to affect us and it did more than we could imagine. From that meeting I raised our discussion point about bulk refunding and Tessitura has answered that call. If you do need something like that please put in a task ticket - the RAMP folks will be able to help you if you are on RAMP and there is a service pack for the rest.
Also if you are a smaller org and need a hand working stuff out - please reach out. There are a lot of skills in the network that you can draw upon from SQL, reporting and advice on strategy.
Finally from a mental health level please stay safe. Have your support on speed dial and don't be afraid to ask for help in that area if you need it. There is safety in numbers.

Just double checking that there's now a new solution for direct refunds? We're looking to avoid moving funds to 'on account' and directly to the customer's card account. I've spoken to a colleague about an alternative solution, but it would require us to do some work outside of Tessitura...
Hi Krista, as of right now 23 March, we have released a new shared report called the Event Cancellation Utility, which is basically an updated version of the Performance Seat Release Utility with some additional features including refunding to a Gift Certificate, or to a fund as a contribution for people who want to donate the value of their tickets. This is in addition to the On Account functionality offered by the older utility. We are installing this for members on RAMP - just put in a support ticket as Heath said. The benefit of refunding to Gift Certificate over On Account is that it can be used online or via other channels. On Account cannot be used online but it is better for quickly applying payments in Tessitura without requiring a gift certificate number.
We are also still working on yet-to-be-released functionality to allow for a refund directly to the customer's credit card in addition to all those other options. We hope to have this available before COB on Friday. This will require a service pack, so please keep an eye out for the release of service pack 15.1.9 or 15.0.16 and schedule yourself in for a service pack deployment once that release is announced.
