Hey everyone,
Looking forward to meeting some of the group on November 3, and thanks to Francis and Amy for coordinating this opportunity to meet up. November 3 is also Sarasota Orchestra's first Masterworks concert of the season, and I'd like to invite anyone attending the happy hour to the concert afterwards at 7:30 pm at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall (just a few blocks from Downtown Sarasota.)
This is a fresh, exciting program for us featuring the festive Overture to Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss II, Beethoven's era-defining Third Symphony Eroica, and Michael Torke's Sky concerto for violin and orchestra, written expressly for the featured soloist Tessa Lark to showcase her elegant tone and virtuosic bluegrass fiddling.
