Does anyone know if there is a pricing rule (or other method) that will allow me to sell one product at full price then discount any other items added to the cart? My catch is that all the items are from the same pool of performances. We are going to be selling our camp offerings (summer camp, PA Day programs , ect...) through TNEW and we currently have an offer that says: buy one at full price and get 10% off any additional camp/program sold in the same order. Any help, thoughts, insight, ect... would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Hi Valerie,
The BOGO rule might work for you in this situation. Have a look at the Pricing Rule Recipe Book here: https://www.tessituranetwork.com/TNEW_6/TNEW.htm#Topics/Pricing_and_Messaging.htm (make sure you expand it at the bottom. If you need further help, please open up a TASK ticket and we'll be happy to look at the specific performance with you.
Thanks,
Jessica
Hi Jessica, I did try the BOGO rule but I would need to discount more than a 1:1 ratio as I'm hoping people buy more than two performances. I can't seem to get the BOGO rule to discount 2+ performances?
If the 10% discount price is built as a new price type, you could probably use a Product Volume rule that says when you buy one at full price, you are then allowed to buy one or more at the (price type change) 10% Off price type. It's been a while since I've used pricing rules (we're not on TNEW yet) but if I recall correctly the second price, in this case the 10% Off price doesn't need to be granted permission by the web user, so you don't need to worry about that price showing up online elsewhere.
Hope that helps!
Cheers,
Tal
Thanks Tal! I'll try that out.
