Fees and separating HST

Hi SOTUGers!

I'm looking to get some feedback about how various organizations build their fees in Tessitura. Do you build them in Ticketing Setup > Fees, or do you build them as separate layers in every price type? As for HST on the fees, do you calculate it manually at the end of the year, or do you somehow separate it out in Tessitura? 
We build our various fees - service charge, exchange fee, the occasional shipping fee, etc - in Fees in Ticketing Setup, and the HST is then calculated manually off the total of all fees at the end of the year. Is anyone doing anything differently? Any and all insight would be much appreciated.

    HI Anastassia,

    We build all our fees as fees. Our HST is also a fee. The only thing that we build as a price layer is any commissions that we have to pay out to some 3rd party sellers. Otherwise, everything is a fee. Oh, and also, HST on fees is built as a fee as well. Shoot me an email if you have any questions.

    Hi Anastassia,
     
    At Tennis Canada we use FEES for Delivery, Processing and Tax.
     
    Below is an example of our delivery methods and processing fees.
    HST has a separate GL and reportable separately through FEE types as well.
    Our Finance team appreciates that it hits the GL directly.
