Hi Seattleites,
At ACT Theatre our credit card server has been crashing a lot. Twice in the last few days.
Can you tell me your credit card server is configured? Virtual or non-virtual? How much drive space, memory, processor, etc? Have you installed the 10.1 patch yet?
Thanks!
Hey Stuart,
No idea…but I’ll pass it on to our IT folks here at PNB.
Good luck!

Hi Stuart –
We’re using a virtual machine (HyperV – 2008) with the 10.1 patch – 1 GB of RAM, 20 GB hard drive. As Ryan tracked down on a forum post, we had a great deal of issues with AVG and our virtual cc server. It basically overloaded sockets and would completely freeze up. The only solution I found was to remove AVG. I’ll note there was NO issue with a non-virtual machine and AVG. It only happened when we went virtual.
Not a real solution, but it worked at the time and I haven’t had a chance to go back and really dig into it.
HTH,
Heather
