Thanks to all who attended our meeting yesterday.
I was thinking that the next best time for a meeting would not be December with the holiday's and the subscription season starting. The next best time for a meeting would be April. This would also give us extra time to plan out the meeting.
From the feedback of this meeting I think if we can have and agenda that would have two general session topics and then an open space session that would allow for the creation of new specific topics for breakout sessions. A bit more structure for the next meeting with the open space to allow from feedback and creation of sessions. We can start the process of the open space here in the forum so we are a bit more focused at the meeting. For the agenda I was thinking a topic would be one that is unique to us here in Philadelphia that has a broad topic that all can participate in and then another topic that each organization can have a specific time to show something (either within Tessitura or outside) that would be an inspire to our community and then finally we can have a breakout session where we do the open space discussions.
It would be great to get feedback and ideas from the community. Please share your thoughts and thanks again for your participation.

Thank you for getting the ball rolling on this discussion, Arthur.
I think April would be the best time for another meeting. In terms of general sessions, during our breakout sessions yesterday I took a few ideas that I heard each group talking about as potential presentations or discussions doing forward. Here's a breakdown of those topics:
I will also be posting my notes from our general discussion shortly.
Another thought Cassie & I had, in interest of keeping momentum and varying our TUG activity, is doing a purely social event in December, something to the effect of having a TUG happy hour mixer. What are your thoughts on a very unstructured, community building focused gathering?

Hi All,
I know some one I sat with in the small IT group had a great system for Onboarding new staff members. I mentioned to him, he should present it to all of us. I believe he was interested in doing so. Arthur- do you remember who this was?? Forgive me, I don't know his name.
My opinion is April is too far away, but December is crazy, hectic. Is there a way to split the difference and maybe do February?? Is anyone else in favor of February?
I am in favor of having set agenda topics that can be sent out with the invitation to the meeting. This way, organizations can figure out, in advance, who may get the most out of that specific TUG meeting- and send them.
I personally would not attend a social event in December- but I am not local to Philly (I'm in Princeton), so party on without me :-)
