Triggered email

Ok - I haven't done this before, mainly because I've always had support in very close proximity!

Is this the right place to ask a technical question re triggered emails?

    Basically, Box Office have been asked (not by me) if we can contact a list of customers, once they buy two concerts from specific seasons, can we automate a triggered email (which will provide details of the offer for the 3rd free concert)? And is this the method you would use to articulate the message? (i'm not sure it is).

    We use triggered emails primarily for pre-concert emails for specific concerts, and not sure how the above might work when including multiple concerts/seasons?

  • Yes, we generally use them for pre-and post event campaigns too. 

    I'm sure it's possible to do as a triggered campaign, but I think it would make more sense to do it as a standard marketing campaign. That way you can suppress people who might have already booked that free concert. You can always roll out the campaign more than once depending on how long you've got to promote that free show. 

    Do people tend to book more than one concert from the same season in one transaction? If so, you could possibly also look into some pricing rules to upsell the third concert as part of the booking journey as well?
