Adding Yorkshire into our TUG

Hi gang,

I was having a chat with Graeme and Chris Joel at our last TWIG about sharing expertise across the group, and I asked about the Yorkshire TUG. In short, they don't have one but it would be really beneficial for our museums in York and Bradford to feel more connected with other Tessitura venues.

I'd like to capture the post-conference zeal for Tessitura...is it ok to add them in and potentially rebrand to North TUG?

Rog I know this would compromise your lovely design (or maybe we just let them in but force them to live under the red rose in a Tudor fashion hahaha)

  • Hey,

    What's the TWIG?

I'm not precious about the image, but maybe wait for Claire's take on it? I know there are a few other Tessitura venues in the North too, so potentially there's a much larger implication to just being "North". (Obviously wouldn't want to exclude anyone, but I know our meeting rooms also get pretty full with the current numbers.)

  • Sorry, the TWIG is our Tessitura Working Interdepartmental Group which is all the folks AT each museum who use Tess along with Graeme Ellis and Chris Joel from the central CRM Team.

Agree with your point and also Dawn's point - perhaps we could invite them to the next one so they can see what it is like, then look to set up one of their own?

Geographically Bradford is much nearer us than Newcastle, whereas York is equidistant. I'd rather they cane along to our TUG for a bit than no Tug at all....

  • Hello All,

This is so timely! I was actually in Newcastle yesterday and talked about the NW/North TUG and I did suggest coming to "visit". Perhaps we do that and then think about a new group. Or alternatively we could have a small York meet up and invite the Newcastle folk.

Do we have a NW date yet?

    Best, Claire
