    Some of my notes...

Jeni gave a brilliant overview of TLCC and Open Space. See the Conference Archive here https://www.tessituranetwork.com/Community-and-Events/Conference-Archive/tlcc2018archive

Claire said if anyone needed help putting a business case together to encourage the budget keepers to agree for more UK members to go to TLCC to ask.

A few of us gave an overview of what to expect at TEC2018 in Manchester. Session titles and descriptions coming soon - more info and book (early bird rate deadline is 17 Sept and discounts for groups of 10+) https://tec.tessituranetwork.com/

We're also looking for volunteers and presenters so please get in touch (https://twitter.com/TessEuroConf or email tesseuroconf@gmail.com), as well as discussion topics for Open Space (More about Open Space at TLCC2018 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhnEIyviybw

Dawn talked about upgrading to TNEW V7 and how brilliant it looks (see https://tickets.bridgewater-hall.co.uk) As they were one of the first to upgrade there were obvs teething issues - namely around customization, addresses and promo codes). An outstanding issue is people having access to past orders and purchases. Tess N explained that as TNEW V7 was built from sratch they had to focus on other more important features in order not to delay. Hopefully this will be fixed by end of 2018.

We then had an interesting disucssion around the practicalities of pulling lists/reports for one-time bookers (i.e. only come to Christmas show) and then ideas on how to improve this churn rate - money off to come to a show outside of Christmas period, using gift certificates, etc

We then split into 2 groups - Group A talked about how other EDU / P&L / CLE departments use Tessitura (anyone have any notes, useful thoughts from this?)

Group B talked about dynamic pricing and how some of us that did use the RMA aren't now and some of us have been working with TRG but nothing seems to quite fit the individual orgs needs. Maybe this is topic for Open Space? Group B then listened to a fabulous presentation by Rog regarding Systems Down - it would be fab if you could share this please?

In between all of these there was frequent talks and excitement for Tessitura Analytics, due to be released with V15 (due? Claire/Natalie) More info https://www.tessituranetwork.com/Features/Business-Insights and Claire could you share the PDF and webinar too please?

The only topic we didn't discuss was GDPR/Contact Permissions as we ran out of time. We at RET have implemented CPs and it'll be a topic at TEC2018 too.

Next meeting - ideally 3 hours long, running 1.30pm - 4.30pm so there's time for networking/drinks after. Dates proposed - week of 12 or 19 Nov as it'll be after TEC18. Possible venues - RNCM or Bridgewater Hall.

  • Hi

I'll have a go at summarising the Education discussion:

Laura from MSI Education team gave some really useful insight into how their team had completely reviewed their procedures as part of their move to Tessitura.  Their database is now entirely on Tessitura. They use Tessitura for all of their schools bookings, utilising Packages to build the visit requirements and assign a teacher to the visit. Anyone will appropriate access can view the visit details via the booking order number, meaning FOH do not need to have printed info at the desk, useful for GDPR. They send a visit summary report to the teacher/organiser - currently created outside of Tessitura but looking to develop a custom report which presents the info in a teacher-friendly format.

They also use Tessitura for their teacher events and other events/workshops.

The advantages of the move has been that all data is now in one place and GDPR compliant. Reporting has been streamlined and it has improved comms between departments.

Dawn from BWH & Jacqui from the Hallé are interested in moving their organisations education databases onto Tessitura (shared Tessitura system as part of a consortium), then looking into how Tessitura might manage education bookings. BWH are currently without an Administrator, but intend to take this forward once someone is in post. Suggestion that Jacqui writes down her requirements and together with Paula from BWH L&P team, visits MSI to see their system in action.

Hope I've covered everything accurately! Please add any comments if I've got anything wrong or missed something.

    Best wishes

    Dawn
