Primary Responsibilities:

• • Create, review and output lists and extractions of prospects, implementing segmentation strategies for the Met’s individual giving campaigns (Patron, Met Opera Guild, Met Opera Fund, Support the Met Broadcasts, HD Education and Laffont Competition) and assist with other development campaigns as needed
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Tessitura, the Met’s CRM Database, and be able to act as a resource for and to assist other Development Staff with database related requests
  • Become familiar with Tessitura Analytics (designing dashboards, processes, reports that can be shared and used by senior fundraiser managers to track progress against goals)
  • Liaise with the Met’s AppSupport Department when submitting requests for enhancements and data maintenance within Tessitura
  • Provide data analytics and support in a timely manner, optimizing the use of Tessitura, Tessitura Analytics and other Business Intelligence tools
  • Produce monthly reports on donor stats (Patron and Guild membership counts, renewal rates, campaign performance, etc.) and provide context for donor trends
  • Assist with database administration and maintenance including designing and implementing protocols and quality control of current processes
  • Participate in records management: adding data and updating records, merging records, converting individuals to households, converting households to individuals and updating/pulling contact information for various purposes
  • Extract lists of donors who include contributions with subscriptions and other ticket purchases and provide output to revenue processing for contribution posting
  • Build relationships with other relevant Met Opera staff (i.e. Research, Marketing department, Met Opera on Demand department) to assist in cross-departmental communications
  • Support Senior Director with testing applicable Tessitura upgrades and other technologies
  • Assist with special projects and other office management duties, as needed

Skills & Qualifications:

• • BA and 2-3 years of Tessitura and/or database experience in a development/fundraising environment; preferably in a performing arts or similar organization.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with ability to manage and analyze large data sets. 
  • Strong familiarity with donor databases, data entry, data mining, and reporting
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Tessitura List Manager/Extractions, third-party analytical programs, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, especially cross-departmentally to support a data-driven culture in the organization.
  • Eligible for hybrid work schedule

• • The Metropolitan Opera is a performance venue that requires employees working in the building to be fully vaccinated. Due to the nature of this role, you must be fully vaccinated and receive a COVID-19 booster shot, if you are eligible, at the time your employment is scheduled to start.
