Upcoming Events for the New York City Tessitura Community

After a long hiatus, it's time to reactivate our professional community for learning, experience sharing, and networking.

The greater New York City Tessitura Community's co-chairs are now:

Michael De Froda, Associate Director, Marketing and Tessitura Operations at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Inc.
Jamie O'Brien, Associate Director of Digital Services at New 42
Corri Oster, Assistant Director of Development Operations at Manhattan Theatre Club

We are delighted to host four virtual events this March - June:

Idea Swap: Tessitura Merchant Services
Wednesday, March 23 at 10:30am

Get an adrenaline rush (of inspiration and knowledge) from your New York-area peers in this Lean Coffee-styled conversation about Tessitura Merchant Services. This virtual gathering is an extension of the formal Network webinars, a chance for you to dig in and exchange ideas about how to implement and apply the technology and strategy at your organization. Come with questions that don't yet have answers or schemes that are still missing a piece or two and dig into them with a Tessitura Subject Matter Expert and like-minded colleagues at neighboring cultural institutions.

NYC Community Co-Working Session: Dashboard Building in Tessitura Analytics
Friday, April 22 from 10am - 12pm

Do some projects remain elusive? Are there some explorations that your inner database geek just never manages to move off the back burner? Give yourself permission to jump in and finally test the waters by committing to a Community Co-Working Session and formally reserving time on your calendar to dig in—your data and system, your questions, our shared environment for real-time accountability. We'll work Pomodoro-style, in sprints, with breaks to ask your community peers and a Tessitura Network Subject Matter Expert about what's stumping you or to share a revelation (or to just stop and stretch).
This session's focus will be Tessitura Analytics Dashboard building, nominated as the technology enhancement most likely to be sacrificed under the onslaught of regular day-to-day business. Data junkies and widget builders of all skill levels welcome—this is your time to see what you can create.

Idea Swap: v16 Implementation Planning and v16 Membership
Wednesday, May 18 at 4pm
Thursday, May 19 at 4pm

Get an adrenaline rush (of inspiration and knowledge) from your New York-area peers in this Lean Coffee-styled conversation about Tessitura v16.

On May 18th, our focus will be on Implementation Planning—aside from the technical tasks involved, how can your organization efficiently approach the upgrade and adoption of new features? What are tried-and-true strategies for enlisting power users, for reviewing business rules, and for testing?

On May 19th, we'll turn to the relaunched world of Memberships. Long a cornerstone in managing patron perks, v16 rebuilds this module for better fulfillment of benefits, including increased functionality for web. What can this tool add to how our organizations approach this part of our business?

Attend one or both events to start lean-ing in to new functionality!

In addition to these virtual events, we hope to organize an outdoor, in-person event over the summer and will do an open call for 2022-23 session planning in approximately early September. To volunteer now for either of these, please email NYCcommunitygroup@tessituranetwork.com.

We hope to (virtually) see you soon!
