Reporting to the Senior Director of Membership & Annual Fund, the Online Giving Manager supports all database-driven online campaigns for Development and Membership efforts and strives to move patrons up AMNH's donor pyramid through the analysis of ticket purchases, membership involvement, and wealth intelligence. This position manages the day-to-day campaign support for AMNH's online giving campaigns, member communications and acquisition campaigns.

 

This position is within the Membership Department, but works closely with Development, particularly the Patrons Circle and Benefit Events. 

 

Work with the department's directors to:

  • Support the execution, and analysis of multi-channel online giving campaigns for Development and Membership making customer-driven sales recommendations and developing campaign test strategies.
  • Work to mine databases for supporter intelligence insights and make recommendations on Membership and Development strategies. 
  • Manage inter-department workflow for Development and Membership multi-channel online giving efforts ensuring that deadlines are met and campaigns are executed as scheduled. 
  • Manage a multi-channel online solicitation schedule for Membership and Development; and direct outside vendors as requested. 
  • Coordinate copy, scheduling, and audience targeting for Development and Membership online campaigns. 
  • Select and export lists from supporter databases (Tessitura, RE) for direct marketing efforts in digital channels. 
  • Work closely with IT and Gift Processing to ensure databases are updated, accurate, and de-duped as best as possible. 
  • Work to analyze donor/member retention, benefit consumption and acquisition statistics to evaluate Membership benefits and improve campaign ROI focusing specifically in digital channels. 
  • Coordinate with the Member Relations Coordinator to ensure events are leveraged for member retention and upgrade as appropriate. 
  • Attend Membership events as needed to support fulfillment and stewardship efforts. 
  • Execute and analyze supporter surveys online to support ongoing analysis in Development and Membership. 
  • Provide thought leadership and creative vision for the ongoing evolution of the online giving program. 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Strong background and proven success in online Development solicitations and analysis.
  • Familiarity with databases, especially Tessitura, and campaign management.
  • Well versed in Google Analytics and online best practices. 
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly capable of prioritization, developing schedules, and delivering projects on time.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills. 
  • Keen attention to detail. 
  • Excels as part of a team. 
  • 2-4 years of experience in a fundraising environment preferred.
