Just wanted to check in to see how everyone is handling the IDNYC now.
When we met in late January we at City Center had just started to implement the new Add Membership (without $) procedure (based on the procedure developed at NYCBallet). We did run into a slight problem with Contribution batches processing memberships but we were able to work with Network to resolve this issue. With this feature our weekly upload takes roughly 20-30 minutes from preparing the initial upload of constituents to adding membership records. The most time is preparing the spreadsheet to upload.
Fulfillment is now what requires the most resources and time but that is becoming more manageable as well.
I'm guessing we were all slammed at the end of January by those folks who thought the deadline had been extended ONLY thru Jan 31. Since then we are averaging about 60 Muni members a week.
As we noted at the meeting it is still too early to measure renewals and overall response of these folks.
How are things going with the rest of you? - Leslie
At the Met, these records are not considered “member” records. We add a constituency and attribute that contains the idNYC identification number for all individuals who contact us with an ID number. We will be using the attribute and constituency date to expire the relationship once that time frame is determined. We identified that so far at least half of the entries were existing customers.
