Literally Out of the Box: St. Patrick's Day Show and Tell at the Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Met Museum welcomes thousands of visitors each week and relies on Tessitura to get everyone quickly ticketed and on to the exhibits. But they needed options that efficiently allowed the number of transactions per minute ebb and flow along with the crowds. Join NYC-TUG for pizza, ice cream and a hands-on Show and Tell session about how they extended their Tessitura access to kiosks and wireless ticket agents. Adam Padron, the Met's Manager of Application and Data Services, and other team members will walk us through the why, the how, and the results of their Tablet App, Kiosk App, and (in case of emergency!) Off Line Mode App.

This strategy-based overview of the Met's work will also include time for discussing potential "extensions" that may help you find business solutions for your own organization. We hope you can bring your own experiences with this topic to the meeting. Green clothing not required.
