Direct Marketing & Database Manager
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
DIRECT MARKETING:
Work with Director of Marketing to strategize direct marketing campaigns and manage all efforts to execute on the direct marketing mailing programs:
• Handling segmentations and testing execution for all mailings and coordinate efforts with eMail Manager.
• Co-manage relationship with mail house(s); coordinate schedule and delivery of lists; manage details of subscription campaigns: production grid updates, finalize and format letters, review all proofs, insure mailing schedule is adhered to.
• Select leads for merge/purges and mailings, and insure delivery of leads to vendors; work with list broker to get list exchanges; manage and respond to all list exchange requests; coordinate collection of direct marketing response reports and analyze and run reports to improve effectiveness of marketing programs; manage database elements of targeted marketing programs for subscribers and non-subscribers.
• Coordinate reporting and reporting process.
DATABASE MANAGEMENT:
Manage the Marketing Database in Tessitura.
• Be the Tessitura Database expert for the Marketing Department as it pertains to campaign set up, reporting, and management of the database.
• Oversee all information processing and management of information into the marketing database
• Handle all trade requests, vendor requests, mailing lists, etc.
• Work with IT to produce reports and analyses of sales, lead lists for mailings, telemarketing, etc.
CAMPAIGN REPORTING:
Excel analysis of each season’s subscription campaign; prepare spreadsheet delineating subscription campaign costs per component and overall; collect all final sales results, create reports and distribute; create general marketing reports from Tessitura; provide data as needed.
ANALYSIS/REPORTING: Stay on top of and review key metrics of sales performance develop weekly and monthly reporting for subscription and single tickets. Run other ad hoc sales report and data analysis, as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field with minimum of three years’ marketing experience with at least two of those years required in database segmentation and multivariate testing;
• Solid understanding and experience with Tessitura and T-Stats is REQUIRED.
• Demonstrated strong analytical skills; proficiency with MS Excel and Office Suite;
Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential. Basic knowledge and interest in classical music or other arts/culture is preferred.
