This position will be responsible for all gift entry and processing via the Museum’s fundraising and financial databases. While supervising the Development Assistant for Gifts Processing, the incumbent will manage the Development Office complimentary membership program, interface with Development program areas, Museum Curatorial departments, Membership, and Finance in order to properly process gifts and memberships and ensure correct accounting in the General Ledger. The incumbent also works closely with Development assistants in the various program areas to ensure proper training and use of PledgeMaker, data integrity, and reconciliation of fundraising programs. The Associate Development Officer for Gifts Processing will play a key role as a stakeholder presenting Development as part of the institutional conversions to the Workday financial system and the Tessitura enterprise system.
• Research and entry of Museum gifts into PledgeMaker database.
• Preparation of donor receipts and gift distribution.
• Depositing checks at Cashier's office.
• Preparation of our Gift Register for Finance and daily interaction with Finance staff to ensure proper entry of donations and pledges in the General Ledger.
• Supervising the Development Assistant to manage complimentary membership renewals and card production—working with Curators, Development and Membership staff.
• Customer service contact for Donors, Development, Curators, Membership, and Finance.
• Training Development staff in the program areas in proper use of PledgeMaker for management of fundraising programs and reconciliation of income.
• Working with IS&T to test software updates and new systems and disseminating changes to Development staff.

Experience and Skills:
• Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must have good working knowledge of MS Office application suite.
• Must have data entry experience within finance or accounting role.
• Experience with and knowledge of Tessitura database preferred
• Experience managing a staff person preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree and background in Accounting, Finance or Information Systems preferred.
