This is a virtual space for cross-organization discussion of:
Collaborative generation of resources for communications about the data exfiltration, as well as "terms" for participation.
I will provide an agenda, plus some supporting documents for up to date context.
Ideally, attendees are those at our organizations who are directly involved in this decision making and planning, though all stakeholders are welcome. Representatives from organizations adjacent to our NY/NJ/CT neighborhood are also welcome if you believe there is qualifying overlap with our constituents.
With acknowledgement that short notice and busy schedules likely make it complicated for many to attend who would like to, this conversation will not be recorded. I will post a recap or some form of notes afterwards however. (If you are able to volunteer to help on this front, please reach out to me at jobrien@new42.org.)
To read through related conversation over the past two weeks, please see this forum thread.
This event should appear as starting at 9:45am on Tues, Aug 2. If it does not, you can adjust your time zone at https://community.tessituranetwork.com/user/settings.
Note: I am intending to open the Zoom 5-10 minutes ahead of the official start, should anyone want to arrive early for more casual discussion

EVENING UPDATE:
With the late-breaking news from WordFly sharing that they were able to more specifically identify what data was exfiltrated, the landscape shifts again. Some local organizations were part of the data breach, though most of us were not. Given that this session primarily grew out of a concern about how a patron alert from a peer organization might give rise to inquiries to others, I still find it relevant to gather and discuss what activity there will be across our community and how/if we should coordinate. Recognizing that urgency levels have changed this afternoon, I still hope to see many of you tomorrow morning.
