I know this group hasn't been very active for a while, and for that I'm terribly sorry. Everyone has been busy and preoccupied with going Live with Tessitura or migrating to v11, and then the Holidays came around. I hope work life has slowed down for everyone these last couple of months!!
I've been thinking a lot lately about the DFW Tessitura User Group and would like to schedule some activities in the coming months. I thought I'd start with bringing the Brown Bag Lunches back and need your help with topic ideas. Is there something you'd really like to talk about or get ideas about from other Tessitura organizations in the DFW area??? Now's your chance to pick everyone's brain. Post your thoughts and ideas for topics in a reply to this discussion and let's see what we can come up with. I'd like to schedule a Brown Bag Lunch for some time in June to kick things off, so get your ideas posted now and plan to join us for lunch and lively discussion next month.
Another idea I had was to have periodic Happy Hours. These Happy Hours would be casual networking events so we can get to know each other and talk Tessitura in an atmosphere outside of work. I'd like to have these Happy Hours in a centralized location so it can be as convenient as possible for those of us coming from Dallas as for those coming from Fort Worth. Thoughts on this and suggestions of fun places to meet?
Let's start throwing out the ideas and I hope to see everyone soon!!!
Teresa
It'd be nice to have the brown bags started up again. We are still tweaking what data to store on the individual and what to store on HH when there is one, so I'd be interested in a discussion of best practices.
I don't know much about halfway between Dallas and Fort Worth, but I know it's where the stadiums are, and it appears to be crawling with sports bars.
Thanks for the input John!!! I'll pick a date for some time next month and post it in the group.
Anyone else have any ideas for a topic??? I'd love to hear from more of you.
