DFW Tessitura User Group - Join the Planning Team!

Hello Dallas-Ft.Worth Tessitura Users!

As you may already know, the DFW Tessitura User Group (aka “TUG”) convened at the Tessitura Learning and Community Conference’s regional group lunch on 7.17.18, and elected to revitalize our TUG!

Attendees supported mine (Tele Durham of Perot Museum of Nature and Science) and Traci McKinney of Dallas Theater Center’s offers to serve as TUG Co-Captains. Thank y’all for this opportunity!

Restoring our group has the potential to further vitalize arts & culture across North Texas by:

  • Networking and nurturing our professional relationships
  • Sharing our cultural-nonprofit knowledge and best practices
  • Educating each other with practical training, case studies, and open discussions

And while we’re excited to co-captain DFW’s TUG, it will genuinely thrive with members like you joining the effort. Would you and/or someone from your organization serve on the DFW TUG Planning Team?

The DFW TUG needs a Planning Team because:

  • It creates sustainability when a teammate is out of the office, has work/life conflicts, or leaves their position at a member organization
  • It also assures shared responsibility and a support system
  • It promotes opportunities for diverse meeting/mini-conference content

The estimated time commitment is 2-6 hrs/monthly (fluctuating if we decide on a mini-conference). We’d like to have our first meeting in September (likely at the Perot Museum), and our tentative “Meeting Objectives” are listed at the bottom of this message.

If you would like to join, let me know, and I will send you a Doodle.com poll with suggested meeting times (complete it COB Monday, August 20th).

If someone at your organization may be interested, please feel free to direct them to this page or to me directly.

We hope y’all will consider joining! Thank you so much, and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
