First - Congrats to everyone involved in participating in an outstanding event on Tuesday, April 8th.  It was great to see so many people - willing to share ideas, ask/answer questions and collaborate on their experiences with Tessitura.

Second - I want to post some information on a question that was asked in one of the sessions.  Jack said he would follow up on the question of why the contribution window would sometimes close when the user switched to another window (in this case to look up a source code).  Jack checked with Chuck Reif and he weighed in with this answer/explanation.

CWR: "The application has always worked this way.  If you open one of the main windows (except System Tables) the other main windows close.  They never close without a warning if you have started a transaction, however.  In the case described here, there is an option on the Tools Menu called View Source Codes which was designed for looking up source codes during a transaction.  (This might not cover all cases they are talking about, but it was the intent.)  There is no difference between the menu and the toolbar icons.  There is one other exception to this which is often overlooked.  You can use Tools/Constituent Search to open a constituent account from anywhere you are in the application without closing any open windows.

Again,  congrats to all - thanks to Eisemann Center, ATTPAC for their direct support of the mini-conference, and to all planning committee members, presenters and moderators.  You were all awesome!

See you at TLCC2014!

  • And thanks to you, Don, for an informative, inspiring speech and a great presentation on "buy-in" for Tessitura.  The entire conference was well planned and presented and I am grateful for the opportunity to network with the DFW Tessitura Network.

Our hosts and the planning committee are to be commended for an outstanding event.  Special thanks to Teresa and Blake for their great support of the conference.  We are looking forward to participating in 2015.
