The developers are investigating storage solutions for tax receipts, since you have to retain an unalterable copy of every receipt for a minimum of six years from the end of the last tax year to which the receipt relates. For those organizations who are hosted with us, we are leaning strongly toward cloud storage, rather than local file storage. For non-hosted organizations, we could provide a script that supports an organization's own cloud storage solution, unless local storage is preferred.
I did some searching and couldn't find any CRA rules/regulations regarding local versus cloud storage of tax receipts.

I can't find anything that says we can't store it in the cloud.
I have 2 questions for you off the top of my head.
1) Would the "extra" storage needed still be included with our current fee structure, or would we be charged extra?
2) I assume that if an org decides to step away from Tessitura, those files would be available in the same way that our data is?
FYI...I heard back and at this point we don't anticipate that there would be any additional cost related to cloud tax receipt storage, regardless of whether you are hosted by us or self-hosted. Self-hosted orgs (ones not hosted with us), would have the choice to store in Tessitura's cloud storage, or save to their network file system storage location, as you do today.
