Implied Consent Patrons & Reactivation Emails CASL

Hello,

Here at the TSO we are working on an email reactivation campaign. Essentially, patrons about to fall off our implied consent email list will receive an email 30 days out and then again 2 days out. In an effort to make this as simple as possible, we have come up with the following scheduled/automated four click process (not counting the click to open the email):

1. Patron receives 30 day or 2 day email and there is one link/button (click #1) if they wish to continue receiving emails. (these are scheduled emails in WordFly that import a dynamic list from Tessitura - those lists identify the 30 days out and 2 days out patrons)

2. The link/button in the email takes you to a very basic survey with the following:

  • One radio button to click the "sign up" option (click #2)
  • One CAPCHA radio button for security (click #3)
  • One button to "submit" the survey (click #4)

3. Once the survey has been submitted, the response is automatically fed back into Tessitura and we now have express consent to email the patron. (for us, this feeds back to a "sign me up" option in the patrons interests)

I'm curious if anyone else has worked on this type of project. If so, did you run into any challenges? Were you able to automate the process? Where you able to accomplish this in less than four clicks? Were you able to do it in one click (we toyed with a 1 click solution but it involved a lot of repeated manual work on our end)?

Cheers,

Jason
