Hi all,
I am setting up our next two call August 13th and September 10th (second Thursday of the month).
After discussing last call, we decided to keep going with the Lean Coffee style, for now. I also wanted to post here and get a bit of a discussion going. For those that have not been able to join yet, what is great about Lean Coffee is that we all come up with an agenda at the start of the meeting. Because of this, it is almost a guarantee you will get to hear about or talk about something that interests you or is relevant to you.
I will post in the comments of this discussion some of the topics we have looked at so far, but feel free to add! What do you want to talk about? How do you see this group evolving? Is your institution doing something innovative that you want to share?
Looking forward to talking to you all (and hopefully more of your from different spots all across the country) in the next couple months.
Perhaps we could explore more subject-based calls instead of general ones in the future? As someone who only deals with the fundraising side of Tessitura, much of the discussions have been beyond my knowledge/role. Just a thought!
Great thought Kyle! We also discussed this a bit in the call last week, and landed on, if more and more people continue to join, we could definitely split it up into some more topic based discussions. Definitely open to continuing the discussion though! I am sure there might be others who want to chat about fundraising...so if you all join and suggest some of those topics, I am sure some of the call would be dedicated to it :)
Now that Phase 3 is becoming more a reality, it would be great to start to discuss where various organizations are with re-opening guidelines and plans.
Absolutely! Especially with every province in a bit of a different state, I am sure others might have some specific things to share based on experience. Hoping you can join in August or September (or both!).
Re: the August meeting, i got our streaming platform wrong. We will be using mux https://www.mux.com/, which my talented colleague Gabe Kirkley is developing an application for.
I wasn't familiar with Mux but it looks very interesting. Thanks for sharing Lou Ann! This is very helpful.
