Just wondering who in Canada is using the new tax receipt utility to email tax receipts? I'd love to connect to hear about how you have made it work successfully.

We were looking at using it but there were too many limitations that we discovered. Tax receipt numbers get saved in a system table, not in the constituent's gift records as they do with the print acknowledgement letters tool, and if you make a mistake and run the utility for date parameters that have been run before, the system will issue a second tax receipt number and email it to the donor. Just some notes to be cautious about as you look to implement it. Make sure you test thoroughly! :)
Hi Kyle, Thanks for the confirmation; that is exactly what we found too. Did you get an error message for invalid email addresses during testing?
Just wondering about doing a work around solution to get a large number of receipts out quickly and with the least cost.
We actually didn't even get that far. Once we discovered the issues we did, we stopped testing as the issues were far beyond our comfort level.
