Hello, fellow Tessi friends!
I'm new to the group and thought an introduction thread might be nice as we start 2022. If this is not the best place for an intro thread, please advise and I'll take it down. I'll start the thread with name, role and current project.
My name is Joy. I started with Thinkery as a database associate three months ago and have mainly been focused on ticketing set-up, but my understanding is expanding each week.
My current project is to create an internal ticketing set-up request form to streamline the set-up process. We always seem to be informed of important information at the last minute and then wind up making a lot of changes to performances while they are live. Does anyone have a request form for this purpose? If not, what practices have you found helpful to minimize last minute edits?
I'm excited to be part of this local group and look forward to getting to know you and your current projects.
All the best,
Joy R.
Hi Joy,
Such a great idea! Congratulations on joining the Thinkery.
My name is Monica, I've been with the Witte Museum for almost a month as their Enterprise Application Specialist. My current project is getting Tessitura documentation and training to the rest of the staff. So if anyone has any good Tessitura training checklist or manual that they can share that would be wonderful! With that being said I'm brand new to Tessitura but I'm learning and getting the hang of it.
We don't have anything internal to create ticketing instead we are training super users for each department so they can do their own ticketing/events.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone as well!

Joyce, I love this. This is the perfect place for an intro thread.
Hello Everyone! Welcome to the party!
I'm Greg, one of our Austin Tessitura Community Leaders. I'm the Associate Director of Marketing and Analytics at ZACH Theatre and have been with the company for ~14 years now (On Tessitura for 10 years, and on the ATX TC Planning Committee for almost 7 years).
The Planning Committee is meeting soon to start the rollout of our next string of Meet-ups (virtual or otherwise), so stay tuned to this forum for updates on that. Traditionally we host open discussions, peer-to-peer presentations (Organization or Network Staff lead), and social meet-ups.
Joyce, I've got a form template that we've been using internally for years now for Ticketing Setup requests. Happy to send that over to anyone who wants to take a gander (email: ggarcia@zachtheatre.org).
Monica, We had a ATX TC session on Training a couple years back with some great input from Tessitura Staff. I'll see if I can't dig that back up and upload it to the file folder here.Additionally, we've got some recordings of past sessions already uploaded if you're interested (https://community.tessituranetwork.com/local_tessitura_user_groups/austin_tessitura_users/m/files/57508)
Thanks for getting this thread going and stay tuned for more Tessitura FUN!
Greg
Hi Monica!
It is quite the learning curve. After three months with Tessitura and jumping in to the org at a busy time, I'm starting to feel confident with the application. We don't have our own learning checklists or materials, but I benefited a lot from the training videos here on tessituranetwork.com. Next time I'm in San Antonio, I'll bring my little family to the Witte. Great to meet you!

Hello, Greg!
I am thrilled to meet you, and grateful for your wealth of knowledge. I'm sure you've seen a lot of development over the ten years that you've been using Tessitura. I will shoot you an email for that ticketing setup request form. Thank you! Also looking forward to the upcoming community meetups.
Great meeting you!
Yes, the first few weeks I felt very overwhelmed. Now I've been troubleshooting and getting things in order so that has helped my confidence with the application. If you come down let me know and I can get you some tickets (monicamascorro@wittemuseum.org)

Hi Greg!
That ATX TC session sounds great! I'm also attending the Onboarding meeting Tessitura is hosting at the end of this month. Anything and everything helps!
I'm looking forward to all the Meet-ups you all plan,
Greg: Where is the suggestion box for possible topics to be covered at the Meet-up?
Priceless. Thank you!
Hi, Greg -
I think I know the training session you're referring to. Believe it or not, it was 2017 (before analytics!!!!). Still some good stuff there though, I think. I'll email it to you to confirm it's what you were thinking of, and if so I'm sure there's a centralized place we can find for it.
