POSITION: Audience Services Associate

REPORTS TO: Audience Sales & Services Manager

DEPARTMENT: Audience Engagement, Sales & Services

PART-TIME TEMPORARY POSITION: Hourly – Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

Ballet Austin has an immediate opening for an audience services associate to support the box office team during high-volume sales days in November and December, and work in the venue box office window during all performances of The Nutcracker (Dec. 8-23, 2017). This position will sell and exchange tickets in the Tessitura sales CRM system by phone, email, and in person. November hours will be 12 hours per week. December hours will total approximately 35 hours a week with overtime possible during December. Beginning in January 2018, there may be a need for 10 hours a week as sales volume warrants.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Answer the box office phone lines with superb customer service
  • Sell and exchange tickets by phone, email, and in person using the Tessitura sales and CRM system at the Ballet Austin as well as at the Long Center box office
  • Assist with answering customer email questions and requests through ZenDesk
  • Provide administrative support to the Audience Services staff

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years of experience with Tessitura or a recognized box office ticketing/CRM platform is preferred;
  • Experience in a ticketing box office environment strongly preferred, but not required;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products;
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment;
  • Superb customer service skills with the ability to efficiently and effectively resolve issues for customers;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to successfully interact with individuals at all levels of the organization;
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and other standard office equipment; and
  • Spanish-language proficiency is a plus.
