In December 2020, Women of Color in the Arts (WOCA) launched an affinity/working group for all non-Black women of color interested in working to disrupt and dismantle anti-Blackness inside their communities. In July 2020, that group brought together over 60 women of color working in the arts for the public event "Solidarity!: A WOCA Town Hall for Non-Black Women of Color." That dialogue has continued over the course of two years in gatherings which have made clear the need for continued space devoted to continuing the conversation on dismantling racism and anti-Blackness inside communities of color, institutions led by people of color, and predominantly white institutions. Modeling the leadership of Black colleagues, this working group has organized to take actionable steps for cultivating lasting change in our field with the goals of collectively sharing ideas and exploring ways to:
