We are halfway through Women’s History Month. I wanted to share professional organizations for Women of Color that will help build your networks. My original goal was to have a list that represents the various professions in our organizations. Below is a few listed, which I hope to grow for our community. We’re a membership community that believes in increasing visibility among black women in marketing through talent and leadership development. Together, we combine mentorship, advocacy, and accessibility to increase sisterhood in the industry. We’re committed to improving the industry, including tackling representation, pay gaps, industry standards, and so much more.

ColorComm initially started over a lunch where 34 women gathered for the first ColorComm Luncheon in May 2011 at a restaurant in Washington, D.C. Several ColorComm Luncheons later, attendees expressed interest in transforming ColorComm from a luncheon series to a professional membership community with direct access to leaders and decision makers. ColorComm, Inc. is the nation’s leading women’s platform addressing diversity & inclusion across the communications, marketing, advertising, and media industries. ColorComm Network is a national professional membership organization with chapters located in New York, Washington, DC, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, Miami, and London.
