Accepting Applications for the Community DEAI Advisory Committee through 4 December

When I spoke at our October event, I mentioned that Tessitura was forming a Community DEAI Advisory Committee. I am very excited to let you all know that we are now accepting applications to join the Community DEAI Advisory Committee. Please consider applying. Visibility and representation matter!

Below is the text of the invitation to apply that will be emailed to the entire Community today:

Tessitura is forming a Community DEAI Advisory Committee focused on diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion. The Community DEAI Advisory Committee will provide a point of substantive communication for feedback, questions, concerns and collaborative opportunities between Tessitura and our community.

For 2021, we plan to seat 8–10 advisory committee members. Committee members will serve an annual term, beginning in January. Committee members will be required to prepare for and attend 6 meetings throughout the year, and may be consulted by Tessitura’s DEAI Committee, as needed. Compensation for time and emotional labor will be US$500.

We are seeking a broad range of representation and lived experience to join us in this important work. We encourage you to apply, or to forward this information to a colleague you feel would be interested in helping further Tessitura’s DEAI work.

Applications are open now through 4th December, and applicants will be advised of the status of their application by 18th December.
