Mental Health Monday: Master your to-do list like a D&D character

Here at ND&MW headquarters we are no strangers to the art and hobby that is Dungeons and Dragons. Heck, we've run TLCC-D&D since 2019 (nerd flex).

Ginny Di is a professional Dungeons and Dragons player, musician and ADHDer. In her Social Media vlog she spells out* some truths about productivity and goal setting using Dungeons and Dragons as a reference point. Some of those are

  1. Small achievable to-do lists are more likely to get finished, than long unachievable ones [1]
  2. Humans suck at multitasking - for the majority of people doing multiple tasks at once increased the cognitive load, and that practising didn't make it better or easier [2]
  3. Getting things done can be achieved with simple planning at the start of the day, being realistic and not overwhelming yourself with too many tasks.

What’s your style when it comes to productivity and to-do lists?

Have a great week
