It was great catching up with those that made it to TLCC and the affinity room. Whether you made it in for breakfast, post lunch hang, art therapy session with Jessie Upton, or in your own time, we hope you managed to find the space relaxing and supportive.
Wellbeing was in focus at TLCC 2023. There was a great variety of offerings, from the TLCC 101 session (thanks to Shelly I didn’t die-drate), Sunday pre-conference orientation tours to help navigate the Gaylord maze, to the affinity rooms centred in the middle of the action for easier access, and the daily Mental Wellness Safe Space in the quiet space. As usual in the Neurodiversity and Mental Wellness room we had a variety of resources. They are listed below in case you’d like to explore them a little further for work and home.
If you are new to the space and would like to keep up with the interaction we have an active Slack Channel. If you would like to join Slack, send a message to Meredith Woolard (mwoolard@tessituranetwork.com), or reach out to one of your friendly neighbourhood planning team and we can assist.
Our next group meetup is in October so watch this space for an upcoming invite.
For ladies and non-binary folks there is the meetup Tues, 12 Sept at 12:00 pm EDT with Women in Tech to hear Anna Wessely, Chief Technology Officer at Digonex, speaking about reinventing your career and about working while being neurodivergent Invite HERE
Next Wed, Aug 30 2023 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM Eastern Time we’ll be having a TLCC debrief if you’d like to join in and talk unpack your experiences
Speaking of taking TLCC home, what are some of the things you like to do to bring some of the comradery and knowledge back home. Is there any wellbeing, belonging, meditation that you are keen to keep on with? Love to hear you thoughts below
Best,
Shelly & Heath
