TLCC - Checking In

Hey all! Almost halfway through TLCC.

How is everyone doing?

If you're doing well, what are some of the strategies you are using to prevent burnout? Screen breaks? Hydrating? Etc.

If you're not doing well, is there anything I can do? Bring you a virtual cup of tea, maybe?

Also-- FYI to anyone in the time zone that is currently attending sessions (ie Australia): if you find music or sounds that are meant to convey an intense action vibe stressful, I don't recommend doing the Escape Room for your social event. It's space-themed, so the background music has that video game scifi thriller aesthetic, and it's kind of loud. I ended up switching to the Lazy River, which a considerably more mellow vibe.

  • Hey Shelly.  I've been sleeping in short shifts when I can but am far too "buzzy" to sleep well.  I'm booking in a bit of time off to decompress after TLCC.

Thanks for the tip on the Lazy River - I didn't even know what that was as a term until TLCC. I might pop in to the next one :)

I think that regular screen breaks are key - and remembering that there are people outside my computer that I should wave too once and a while.  Breaks are a great way to digest info.  As is reaching out to a friend for a chat.

Thanks for your great work on getting the social channel up.
