Participant First Pathway?

Hi All,

I have a slightly embarrassing question. We got the Education Registration Customization last year and have used it only with the Item First pathway. We now have a new Education Manager, who I have showed the tool and he loves it so we are going to use it more often. Yay!

I'm currently setting a use for our youth program. However, I can't work out how to use the Participant First Pathway rather than Item First. I've been through the documentation several times and our training recording with Sidney but can't find it. The documentation mentions it several times and shows examples but never says how to use it over the Item First.

I'm sure I've missed something, help!

Possible to print Edu Form answers?

Hi Friends! Does anyone know how to print the forms created through the TNEW custom Edu registration? Our edu roster only includes a few of the form answers. Do I need to create an output set for these fields and run a list?

Hi all!

We are exploring the education customization for our organization, and I was steered here to hopefully get in touch with an organization who is currently using the customization in a similar way to how we'd be using it. We are a ballet company with a school that has two regular seasons for our Professional and Recreational divisions, as well as several workshops, masterclasses, and summer sessions a year. We'd specifically like to chat with someone who has implemented pre-requisites on their classes, and is not just allowing registration by age.

Limit the prices types in Add-Ons

So I was wondering if there was a way to limit the Price types in add-ons.

We have some fancy pricing rules for who gets what price for certain add-ons - and I have done the "hidden price" offer setup, but that doesn't seem to impact limiting the price type in EDU add-ons.

Any thoughts?

Any solutions/explanations for duplicated rows using the "Custom: Edu Form Response / Education Form Answer" Output Set Element?

We have a Tessitura Support ticket open for this general issue (on top of a larger conversation about this customization), but I thought I would bring the question to this group as well, in case anyone has insights or breakthroughs.

When I run a simple List for students in a specific performance and pair it with a simple Output Set using the Custom: Edu Form Response/Education Form Answer element to select a few questions to report out answers for, I see significant duplication in the Results (note that I've intentionally messed with our customer_no and Date_of_Birth fields for data safety):

When I visit the Custom tab, EDU Main radio button for this patron, I see that the Date_of_Birth question has been answered twice; once in 2017, once in 2020. Any thoughts on why I see it four times in the Output result?

The How_did_you_hear question also shows up twice in the custom screen, with no answer in either case, so seeing blanks in that column is not surprising.

The Attending_School question has been answered twice--again, in 2017 and 2020--but with different answers in each case (the one listed here showing up in the 2020 response). Since this answer has only been given once, why would it show up four times?

This is, understandably, causing loads of frustrations from our organizations using the customization and this Output Set Element as a reporting solution. It makes it nearly impossible to report data in a meaningful way without manual deduplication of data, even in a simple Output Set like the one I'm demonstrating here.

Education Registration Answers in Analytics?

Has anyone using the more recent Education Registration Customizations been successful in bringing in or referencing that stored data in Tessitura Analytics? I think the visualization options would be a brilliant way to report on some of this data; much more so than Output Sets.

Grade Validation

So if I have 1 class and they have to be in 3rd grade - and I assigned the grade keyword to the performance - why am I only getting that grade as an option? Did I miss something?

TNEW 7.27 Release and the Education Registration Code

Hello all -

You may (or may not) have seen the latest release notes for TNEW 7.27.0 which was released to all TNEW Test Sites (version 15.0.x or 15.1.x) earlier this week. In the release notes you may have noticed this message:

IMPORTANT MESSAGE for members who have customizations using "execute local procedure". We have made security updates in 7.27 which could affect pre-cart customizations calling local procedures via "execute local procedure" method. If you notice any issues with your customizations please contact our support team.

This does impact your TNEW Education Registration Customization, but we've got you covered!

We've been working in tandem with Development to make sure that everything is properly turned on and you should not have to do anything, nor should you see any change to your TNEW customization. This release is currently in your test TNEW environment and you can walk through your Education customization to verify all is working well, but it isn't a requirement. We'll be following the same process for the live release. As always, if you see unexpected behavior after any TNEW release, please open a support ticket and they can assist or escalate as needed.

Recipient/Child's Name on TNEW or any Order Acknowledgement

I am looking to find a way to include the Recipient/Child's Name on an order acknowledgement. We expect a lot of parent inquiries when multiple children are registered in a single order if this information isn't included in any correspondence.
