We do too! Donate2’s payment manager has been really easy to work with and style. Plus, it automatically BCCs the receipt to whichever employees we want so they know the payment is complete. Would recommend.

Hi there!

Anyone doing anything creative with third party vendors to send secure payment links to collect payment/card info?

A member of our team (h/t Brian) found that Adyen has a solution (https://www.adyen.com/pay-by-link), although it is not a part of Merchant Services at this time. I see the concept on the TMS roadmap, but it looks to be down the road aways... (https://www.tessitura.com/support/roadmap/tessitura-merchant-services).

Curious if anyone is exploring this area.

One Page giving to on account (following a solid invoice template) is great.

We had a need for more data, so we shifted to a specific TNEW full donation page. GC to shift the $ to the right account is great.

With multiple parties and when login's are involved (e.g. when you are dealing with the School being invoiced vs Teacher actioning the payment), and if you can't use one page giving, having a GC to shift from the Constituent that just paid to the Constituent with the invoice (often the Schol or Business), is super handy.

Donate2 has functionality for this that we've been using to gather payments for group sales. Payments go through Stripe, not Adyen, but they are captured in Tessitura.

I have been using one page giving in TNEW for these sorts of things - putting the money on account and then being able to apply it to orders or contributions as needed (even setup a Gift Certificate Type for moving from one account to another.

We ran our invoice billing utility today for our Broadway subs. We rand 3219 accounts and had 470 fail. This was a minimal increase over last year. We left partial AVS on so we consider that a win.

Has anyone recently turned on address verification for their credit card transactions? We are very close to turning this on but have one remaining question about tokenized cards - if their primary address is not their billing address, can you use a tokenized card? Do you have to enter the billing zip code in the payments screen? How does that work with auto-billing? If anyone has been through this transition and is willing to share their experiences, I would love to hear them!

Do you wonder what topics you might present this August? Anything you are doing with Tessitura to make your day-to-day and season-to-season life easier is guaranteed to interest others. Nothing is too small or too grand to propose.

Below is a list of topics to inspire your session proposal. If any of these sound familiar, then we’d love to hear from you. And if you have an idea that’s not on this list, we're happy to hear that as well!

Proposals may include one to two presenters, either from the same organization or from different organizations. Presenters and panelists selected for community-led sessions will receive a 25% discount on conference registration.

We’re actively seeking speakers who identify as Black, Indigenous, Latinx, or a person of color; gender-nonconforming or LGBTQIA+; having a disability; neurodivergent; and other historically excluded identities.

Hi Chris! I would love to hear how your first auto-billing run goes. We turned AVS on (we use Windcave) last week and did our first two rounds of auto-billing. For those, the zip code did not pass but the charges went through. Per our support ticket, this was expected behavior since we are using tokenized data. We are moving to Merchant Services in the late summer - I want to start planning now if we are going to have to make changes if the primary and billing zip codes don't match for our auto-billing patrons.

Nancy - you are correct and caution should be exercised when using equipment outside of your secured corporate network. Beware the wireless access points (WAP) you connect to. Public WAP's should be avoided as they are insecure.

The EMV devices can go with your laptop, and connect wirelessly. We do this all the time for off site ticket sales.

We use TRBO devices for this, but you could use a laptop and a P400 configured for Wifi. Sending a mobile ticket rather than printing a Boca ticket is also an option.

Our remote/off site solution is a TRBO with an AMS1 and a ZQ320 bluetooth printer for the receipts.

Henry Kelly Yes - the refusal to wifi issue hit us pretty early when we went live, we had to replace 3 devices in quick succession (and with a fleet of 130 across the district, I was very panicky). Total, we've had to replace 6 since May 2023, so it didn't snowball the way I initially was afraid it would. The replacement process has been very efficient. That said, I do have 2 that I need to troubleshoot that both got reported yesterday. One can't get past the start-up screen and the other is insisting it needs a house number to take a credit card.....a first check this morning is showing it on an earlier software version than our others, but when I try to update it, it says it's already up to date. Happy to update here the outcome of these devices. I definitely recommend purchasing 1 or 2 more than you need so that you can keep people working. We didn't actually purchase extra, but with churn and other changes that have happened, we basically lucked out that when devices started failing, I had some unused devices to sub in.

Hi All,

So I'm just trying to gauge if others are having the same experience as us when it comes to using the P400. We went live with TMS 5/1/2023 with approx 50 devices across all our consortium members. All the devices seemed to be fine for about 9 months. Then I started getting a couple where the wireless didn't work. Wired they were ok, but the wireless "icon" would not come on and it couldn't connect. We worked our a return with Tessitura for one of them so far. Now I've got one that's truly broken, it kind of boots up, then goes to a black screen and never comes back on. Working with Tessitura to see about replacing that one as well.

I'm wondering to what degree other orgs have been seeing problems, and if this "wireless stops working" problem is a trend among others.

I am so sure this community has experience with reconciliation in tess with AYDEN, specifically credit card reporting. What are the best reports to use? Our accounting team has been having a heck of a time and I know there is a simple fix, although I have not been able to find the answers in the community groups. Thanks for any info!

Thanks Evan for the hint about recording the boot up. Thanks to everyone else for the insights. Mainly I'm worried that this was some kind of trend with recent updates. It's of greatest concern at our Museum front desk of course, we have kindof used up our spares so we need that turnaround.

Hi Henry - We have had similar issues as well. We've had to replace three terminals in under 2 years for the same reasons. Recently we had two AC power cords stop working and had to purchase replacements. I agree with everyone else that Tessitura has been great to work with in facilitating the returns and we received replacements very quickly. I reached out to Tessitura support about replacing the power cords and they facilitated that through Adyen as well. The replacements were cheaper than what I found online. It is somewhat frustrating that the P400's seem to "break" this easily.
