We have determined that WordFly has been impacted by a cybersecurity incident affecting operations and our ability to provide our services. This incident also affected our backup servers. We are currently engaging with internal and external cybersecurity professionals to resolve the situation and get our systems and servers back up.

At this time, we have no evidence that any customer data in WordFly has been compromised or misused.

Resolution of the incident will take time, and WordFly is likely to remain unavailable for several business days.

Hi! Wordfly has been down all weekend. I found the explanation buried on a Twitter page, but there hasn't been a new post. Does anyone have an update? As it is, I'm looking at doing a full week's worth of work on Wednesday.

Soft bounces converted to hard bounces in Wordfly?

Am I imagining things? I swear that soft bounces are collected in Wordfly and converted to hard bounces in Tessitura at a certain threshold. True or not true?

Gmail Outage Dec 14-16 -- Update & Next Steps

Gmail Outage Update
December 16^th, 2020

Google reported a major Gmail service disruption on December 15^th from approximately 4:30pm ET to 7:00pm ET. This affected all Gmail users. The outage is now over.

Any email sent to Gmail during this window hard bounced and will need to be sent again.

WordFly has removed the hard bounce notification in our system for all emails sent to the Gmail.com domain during the outage window. However, it is likely that a hard bounce response was sent back to Tessitura and will have marked these subscribers as hard bounce / unsubscribe. You will want to remove that update so those subscribers are not segmented in future lists.

NEXT STEPS

- Please review this Tessitura Knowledge Base Article with information about how to manage Gmail hard bounces in Tessitura.

- Re-import Gmail subscribers into WordFly and re-send your campaigns to any affected Gmail subscribers.

Hope everyone is hanging in there. What a year (total understatement of the century)! :)

I'm excited to announce that our Pages product will remain free through the end of March of 2021.

Pages is an integrated survey and RSVP tool. Many organizations are currently using it to manage their cancelled tickets. You can set up an easy survey page asking ticket holders what they'd like to do with their cancelled tickets. All of the data comes right back into Tessitura. Very handy.

If you're currently using our free version, you don't have to do anything. Just keep on keeping on. If want to get started, just go to Account > Pages Pricing Plan and turn it on. The free version gives you 5 surveys, RSVP or landing pages.

Does anyone know how to have the 'new' WordFly custom screen save your account/login/password?

With the old way of accessing the WordFly custom screen, our users could save their username and password and it would save for their shift, but with the new way, they have to enter all the info everytime they access.

Cogeco Address' - Soft Bounces

Hi,

Since the Wordfly upgrade we continue to have issues with cogeco inboxes. Our soft bounce rates for cogeco has never improved. Previous to the upgrade we were fine. We have read the advice from the Wordfly documentation, however we can’t seem to put our finger on the real issue. Anyone else have this issue and do you have any suggestions? Thank you!

Wordfly: Engagement Segmentation Filter

Hi all,

Since Wordfly's IP switch in July, we've noticed a drop between our imported recipient lists and the actual send lists. I've been informed that a filter is now applied at the moment of deployment, removing users with 0 and 1-star engagement ratings.

Apart from a big drop in our recipient lists, this isn't an alarming issue when it comes to sending out marketing messages - I'm hoping we'll see improved engagement in the long term.

However, I am concerned that some customers will miss out on receiving important information such as ticketing notices or pre-show information because of their engagement rating. Moreover, there's no easy way of seeing who has been excluded from a list once the campaign is deployed; we can only look on the Wordfly Custom tab in Tessitura on the individual constituent level.

Is anyone facing similar issues or have found a way to work around this? Would love to hear your suggestions!

Wordfly Output Set Elements

Hi everyone! I hope this is the correct place to ask this question. We are in the process of moving to Wordfly from another ESP and have run into some issues with exporting our Contact Point Purposes as data elements using the process recommended by Wordfly. We use Contact Point Purposes to manage subscription status (for example, we have a CPP for News & Events, and one for Support Us, both of which are only used on email addresses). This is how we manage mass-email preferences in Tessitura, in addition to global unsubscribe. Since the integration between Wordfly and Tessitura is one-way, you have to include output set elements for these CPPs if you want to update any existing data in Wordfly. Wordfly requires that you have a CPP column for each email, with a 0 or 1 value returned depending on if the email is subscribed or not. They also have a custom view, LV_WF_Contact_Purpose, which they recommend you use.

The issue is that this view only references primary email addresses, whereas we have tons of records in our system where more than one email exists with CPPs, and sometimes the CPPs are different to what's on the primary email. When we pull multiple emails, the output set elements just return whatever subscription values exist on the Primary email. However, when we tried editing LV_WF_Contact_Purpose to remove the reference to primary email only, we got exponential duplicates in our output set elements, because it was referencing all available email addresses, and not just the ones we selected for the list.

Have any other Wordfly users found a way around this problem, or do you only use Primary emails for Wordfly lists? Or did you end up building your own view/query elements and query element group? I would really appreciate any insight here as our team is kind of at a loss! It seems that we should be able to pull more than one email per constituent if applicable, and that there should be a way for the CPP outputs to match with what's on that email and not just the primary email.

Gmail Delivery Significantly Improving...Update Aug 8

Hi everyone,

Good news on the Gmail and other Google email products. Delivery is now improving significantly.

Late Friday night and into Saturday morning, we began to see large amounts of email beginning to be delivered to Gmail and other Google email products.

You can now return to normal sending for all ISP’s and mailboxes including Gmail. There are no restrictions on volume or amount of campaigns per days.

However, until we are satisfied that email delivery to Gmail has stabilized, we will continue with the segmentation controls we put in place last week. We hope to remove those controls soon.

Pages integration with Tessitura and doing a phone portion to survey

We are creating a WordFly Pages survey to send out but also have a phone piece to it so some of our callers will be contacting patrons by phone to ask the same questions. Is it possible to have the pages survey available to answer the same questions? Also, how do others get around limitations to attribute descriptions and making a survey question understandable 10 years down the road?

WordFly Pages Integration - HotFix Releases (HF2/v1.0.2 & HF3/v1.0.3)

We have identified two critical issues with the WordFly Pages Integration that have been fixed in Hotfix 2 (1.0.2) and Hotfix 3 (1.0.3), along with some other minor defects and code improvements.

Hotfix 2 covers the critical issue where the Wordfly Pages Integration is using one extra ID beyond what it has reserved, causing subsequent primary key violations.
Hotfix 3 fixes an issue with the integration customer merge procedure and adjusts code to allow multiple interests to be updated through one Pages questions.
Further details are available in the Release Notes under the “INT-WordFly Pages” functionality filter.

For members on Hosting Services (RAMP)

We have automatically run Hotfixes 2 and 3 for all member organizations that are hosted by Tessitura. You do not need to take any action.

For self-hosted members

New install files and hotfix scripts are available here on our website. You will need to run these on your own system.

WordFly Pages Integration - HotFix Release (HF1/v1.0.1)

I wanted to make you aware that we've discovered a defect in the GR1.0 release of the WordFly Pages Integration and have fixed it in our code. We've updated the installation files to v1.0.1 and created a HotFix script (HF1) for any self hosted organizations to run if they have GR 1.0 installed.

If you are a Hosted (RAMP) organization, we'll be applying the hotfix for you and updating your install ticket when it is done.

Release Note: Next id was incorrectly being used in procedure IP_WF_PAGE_RESPONSE_CUSTOM for CSI creation. This has been corrected in the install files (now v 1.0.1) as well as a HF#1 script.

In the future, we're looking at how to get updates such as this into the standard Service Packs, so stay tuned for more information around that as we look at the technical feasibility of that.

Prospect2 Automation Workflow and Event Cancellation

As you know, Tessitura offers a full suite of tools and integrations to assist with canceling events and performances. If you're using the marketing automation product Prospect2 from L2 Interactive, you should also know that it includes standard functionality to capture ticket return requests through email automations and return the data to Tessitura using a CSI. We've made a short video that gives an overview of the process to create a campaign, configure CSI settings and automation, and send the campaign.

The new integration code will let you use WordFly Pages capabilities to create items within Tessitura (such as CSIs), which will allow you to track and act on survey responses. We hope to release this in the next week or two. Once it’s ready, we'll post about the functionality, how to request it, and other information.
