The call for presenters for TLCC Washington, D.C. is now officially open!

We invite everyone to submit presentation proposals, no matter your experience with Tessitura. Presenters will receive a 25% discount on the conference registration fee, and support will be available to help you in preparing your presentation.

TLCC Washington, D.C. will once again feature a Developer Track. When submitting a presentation proposal for the Developer Track, please select either IT and Software Development or Digital and Web as the primary interest area.

Pricing Rule Message Only Image Size

Has anyone had any luck changing the image size for message only pricing rules? Is this something based on your TNEW site templates? We are stuck with a rectangle that looks awful on mobile. Additional question - has anyone been able to have different image sizes based on mobile or desktop purchase path? For us, we cannot differentiate.

Removing Change Log Comments from Impresario SQL Objects

Tessitura will be discontinuing the maintenance of change log comments in SQL objects, and existing change log comments will be removed incrementally over the next year or so. Please note, that Description, Parameter, and Example comments will still be created and updated, and we do not intend to remove comments from custom/local objects.

This change aims to prevent inaccuracies and inconsistencies. The majority of SQL changes do not include change log comments and existing comments are often incomplete, incorrect or outdated, leading to confusion.

Swagger definition file empty for v16

CORS errors when accessing the API

Greetings,

I'm trying to access the API from my wordpress site using PHP and AJAX. Our client has setup a TNEW site and we have a live and staging tessitura instance. Whenever I hit the API I get a CORS error. Here's the error:

Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at... (Reason: CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ missing). Status code: 405.

I'm trying to hit the /api/Diagnostics/Status endpoint which shouldn't require any authentication. I don't want to print the entire url for security purposes. I'm sending this from a local instance on my machine with the same domain name as our live site. I've been told my domain has been whitelisted. Is there anything else I need to do to send the request? I've also tried using an "Authorization: Basic ..." header with the hashed key following this format "admin:admin:location1:pwd123", but from my understanding I don't need that header when accessing this endpoint.

Custom Screens - v15 - ability to change token keys

Hi,

I'm trying to implement a browser based custom screen onto the constituent pages to show information from an external system. The external system is a vendor provided out of the box solution that takes in a Sync_ID key with the value being the constituent id. The Tessitura docs specify that they pass in "key" in the query string with the constituent id as the value. Is there any way to rename key to sync_id?

The solution also requires an oauth token to be passed in that expires every 20 minutes. Is there any way for Tessitura to generate that token and also pass that in as part of the URL to the browser based custom screen?

Opportunities for Developers at TLCC Orlando

Hi Developer Community!

I wanted to share all the opportunities for developers at TLCC Orlando that we’ve created based on community feedback. After discussions with many of you, the team has worked to put together a meaningful experience.

We have a mix of sessions from the community and Tessitura staff. You’ll see that we have focused on several aspects of custom development with Tessitura, from working with the API, to custom SSRS reports and HTML templates. These sessions are great if you are new to custom development with Tessitura, such as building a custom website or integration, web-based custom screens, SSRS custom reports, or other bespoke web-based customizations.

Developer content ranges from intro level to more advanced. There will be opportunities to explore new functionality in v16.

We are bringing back the developer lounge as a central place for all of you to connect. You’ll be able to plug in to a projector and explore code together. In addition, we will have dedicated developer office hours where Tessitura staff will be on hand to answer your questions.

Bring your code and your projects. And if you haven’t signed up for TLCC yet, the regular registration rate is available through the end of day July 11. You can register here. If you are registered, the conference app will open the week of July 24. You’ll be able to filter sessions by IT & Software Developers to start building your schedule, and you can search for other developers to meet in-person.

Pricing Rules on Custom Sites

Hi friends,

We're working on implementing pricing rules and promo codes on our custom site. Trying to determine what API call to use to determine if a rule applied, like how we can see the 'R' or 'Q' status in the application. Is there anything that you've found that returns those values, or something else that returns when a rule works that we can key messaging off of?

It looks like we could use Web/Cart/{sessionKey}/Messages?messageTypes={messageTypes} and add a 'TNEW CART' message to each pricing rule. Then either display that message verbatim or use that value to trigger custom content stored in our CMS.

How do y'all determine that a rule applied on your sites?

Community-Led Development Opportunity: Volunteer Management Custom Screen

Attention Developers!

We need your help to create a volunteer management custom screen for the community. Currently, what's available for volunteer management is built using Infomaker, but we'd like to make this to fill this common need in the community. We're looking for developers who can collaborate to create a custom screen that can be committed to a public repository and maintained open-source.

There are several ways you can contribute to this open-source project, such as:

Development: You can contribute to developing the custom screen by writing code, testing, and debugging.

Design: You can help create the custom screen's user interface and user experience design.

Documentation: You can help document the code, write user guides, and create technical documentation. Here are some resources to get started:

Custom Screen Building - Step-By-Step

My museum has been trying to figure out a way to get our volunteer hours into Tessitura for close to a year (since we went live July 2022). Everyone on the forums keeps saying we need to build a custom screen. A few really great institutions even sent me a zip drive of their SQL files and showed me how to use SQL/SSMS.

The problem is I am so new at this that the little they showed me wasn't enough, and also when I did try to input the SQL files into SSMS, one row had an error message and it's been a pain in the butt to deal with. Another thing is, this set of files needed InfoMaker to complete the process (the PBL file needed to be uploaded there). My institution does not have that, and when I asked via Ticket for it, Tessitura told me no because they are in the process of phasing out InfoMaker.

We are also still running on version 15 and I don't know when we will make the switch to version 16. Also, my institution does not want to spend the money to have the custom screen built, which is why I'm taking the time to try and learn to do it myself.

With all of this in mind, is there something somewhere that will give me a step-by-step as if I'm an idiot (kind of the way Tessitura does when you're first building out the system).

We have a goal of starting to input volunteer hours into Tessitura by July 1 (start of fiscal year and our 1 year anniversary of having Tessitura). If someone could point me in a direction, or maybe if there is a better way of inputting this data, I'd appreciate it.

Tessitura Version 16 includes enhancements and important changes to the API and database. This three-part webinar series prepares developers who work with the Tessitura API. We will emphasize creating API-driven customizations and integration customizations whenever possible.

SYOS Seatmap - Is there a way to increase the scale or the zoom level of the seatmap on load?

Good morning,

On a TNEWv7 SYOS screen I'm wondering if there is a way to increase the level of the default scale level?

I've had a look around in the syosController object and there's a few properties such as scale at the following location: screenContainer.syosController.seatContainer.viewport.scale that I'm under the impression have an impact?

For example on one seatmap can see the screen container is given a scale value of "0.11974584555229717" which affects an inline css property for .tn-syos-seat-map of transform: scale(value).

Is there any way I can increase this by 125% or 150% to make the seatmap appear larger on initial load?

Adding constituent error - The constituent must have a non-control grouped label address with an active address type.

When trying to add a constituent record, I get the following error. "The constituent must have a non-control grouped label address with an active address type." I tried providing every single address type in the system, still get the same issue. Any ideas on how to solve this issue please?
