Database Queries for Blocking, CPU Usage, Long-Running Queries, Changed Scripts, etc.

This is a small sample of scripts that the Philadelphia Regional Arts Consortium uses to manage the Tessitura database.

Most of these scripts were found online over the years, and they may help determine which process (and specific query) is causing blocking, what queries are currently being run in the database, etc.

sp_who2 is also a favorite script, but that one should ship with the impresario database, so it's not included in this zip file.

Template for custom report requests. Can be modified for other types of enhancement requests.

The Philadelphia Regional Arts Consortium staff sends this document to our end users who have requested an enhancement involving an existing or new report in Tessitura. The goal is to get as much information from the end user about what information they want and how it should be displayed so that all involved are clear on the request.

Please feel free to use this at your organization!
