I know I posted this question last week, but I think it was eaten by gremlins, because I don't see it now. Please excuse me if this ends up being a double post.
My Comms department wants to start personalizing emails with WordFly with first names. This works easily with individual accounts, but it doesn't work with households -- the first name ends up being blank. I've set up a new Informal salutation on all our members manually (we have fewer than 1400), but I don't have the time to do it for the 9000+ on the email list. Has anyone written code to apply a new salutation in bulk? I opened a ticketing to get a consulting quote, but haven't heard back on that one yet either.
Thanks!Anne Robichaux
I have. I'm not super enthusiastic about it, and it was built to a very specific purpose. The script takes a salutation type, a salutation format type, and if the salutation does not already exist on the customer record, it will create it. The idea is that I didn't want to ever overwrite a manual adjustment to this salutation.
That's exactly what I'm looking to do.
Anne - I just emailed you
I have something similar as a utility - so it is scheduled based on lists.
Hi Mary,
I'm looking into doing something like this as well. Would it be possible for you to send me this utility as well so I can look it over?
I appreciate any help you can give.
Happy to send to you Zachary - what email should I send to?
