Hi all,

A very general question to the many different versions of Tessitura DBAs out there - any strong advice or feelings about best devices or platforms on which to run Tessitura and any associated/integrated software? Curious to know if anyone has scoped new laptops recently for enterprise sys-admins and is interested in sharing their findings.

The Dell I'm on is not keeping up and am wondering whether to do a complete change to Mac, or just spec out an upgraded PC - portable but powerful, etc, and curious if there's anything in our upcoming v.16 upgrade that should be considered. Not rocket science, but needs to deliver on data science, so it's an investment!

Seat Location Custom View for WordFly (multiple row issue)

Hi all,

Has anyone come up with a good custom view to display seat location information specifically for use in WordFly? I've got one built out that works perfectly for front and back end use in Tessitura, but we are struggling to come up with a solution that addresses those edge cases that cause a patron to have multiple rows of data when it comes to seat location info. For example, patrons who have tickets to multiple performances in the same production/run, patrons who have blocks of seats in 2+ areas/levels of the house, patrons with non-contiguous seats, etc. - we aren't sure how to best get this information to display in a single line of data in a way that is clear and clean. We specifically want to pull this information into our pre-show emails, which we run on a per production basis (rather than per performance). We've spoken to WordFly's support team about this, but they have been pretty insistent that this must be addressed on the Tessitura end.

Removing Keywords in Bulk

Hello friends,

I'm trying to delete a bunch of keywords that are just clutter at this point. I wrote a code to identify which performances they are associate with (it gave me a cranky error when I tried to delete them because they're still associate with performances.)

Anyone have any thoughts on how I now remove them in bulk from those performances?

This is what I wrote. It returned about 150 lines:

Assigning reports to multiple user groups

Is there a way to see what user groups have access to a specific report without going group by group? Or, is there a way to assign a report to more than one group at a time?

Security User Group Changes??

So I am trying to make it easier for our Director of Education to use Tessitura. We are on v16, so she is going to be the first solely using the web app.

Most of the things I don't want her to see went away really easily in Security by selecting NO for all the rights. However, there are a few that are stuck no matter how many No's I put and I can't figure out why.

She doesn't need the following:
Campaigns (View Source Codes)
Plans (Upcoming Steps)
Access Control (Process Offline Scans)

I selected NO for everything labeled Access Control and Process Upload Scans, so I'm not sure why that one is stuck. Same with the other two...unless I am missing something that is related to those but doesn't explicitly say Plans or Campaigns.

Also, how do I change a user's "Home" screen. For some of our staff it's Production Elements, for others its Constituent Search. I would actually like her start screen to be the Resource Calendar if at all possible.

Analytics Source ID

Hello everyone. I'm hoping someone can help us figure out an issue we are having in Analytics when trying to see how many singles were purchased with a particular source.

In Analytics I have chosen the filter of Source ID (48884) for this season and all performance dates. The results are 22 unique constituents. However, when I run a list for the same criteria with Order - Source = 48884 I get 23 unique constituents.

I located the one missing constituent that is not in the analytics output, which brings me to my question. Does the Source ID in analytics pull from the Line Item source instead of the Order Source? If so, what filter should I use as the source in Analytics so it pulls form the order source instead of the line item source?

We are fairly new to using analytics for ticketing so I appreciate any help you can throw my way.

Bulk inactivate and/or purge from a list?

Has anyone come up with a process to bulk inactivate or purge CIDs? I would like to use a list to do so. I'm fine tuning our rules for inactivating bogus account creation since we have many every day and would like to be able to inactivate them at once instead of having to go into each CID and click inactivate or schedule for purge. I'm aware that the purge utility can use a list, but you still have to individually go into every CID and schedule it for purge before including it on the list. I might submit this in Ideas since it seems to me that cleaning up these accounts is something everyone might be doing given the influx of fraud folks have been seeing. We're on 15.1, but looking to upgrade to v16 in June.

Tessitura Web Application usage in v16

We have a significant number of users whose Tessitura work is 90-100% defined by:

Constituent lookup
Lists
Extractions/Segmentations
Reports
Analytics
Reference Tables
Plans

Obviously I'm excited about the possibility of sending them to the Tessitura Web Application in v16. The list of components now available is one thing, although the main thing that has prevented us from starting this in v15 was the lack of MFA login.

Has anyone on v16 been able to do this with a modest number of your users? Any recommendations or pitfalls I should be aware of when planning for our upgrade?

Using SQL to inactivate workers: what am I doing wrong?

Hi all! I am trying to do a cleanup of all of our workers by making around ~175 of them inactive, and as a beginner SQL user I'd appreciate the community's review/advice on my code.

Here is what I'm trying to update on these constituent records:

And I have a static list of all of the workers that need to be made inactive (list # 133113).

So the SQL script I came up with is as follows:

I tried this in Test, but I must have done something wrong; afterwards, opening any of the affected accounts would cause Test to crash. (I did a Prod to Test copy last night, so Test is now working properly again).

Printing Mobile Tickets Emails

I'm not finding this in the docs or forums, save an Idea: when you try to print a mobile tickets email, the QR codes don't come through. Maybe this is "clever" and on purpose, but I note that I can print the mobile Tickets from my TNEW account pages just fine. Does anyone know if this is non-negotiable design, if there's a workaround, whether I ought to enter a support ticket, etc.?

PAH got corrupted after editing the Text

Query Element Set Up for Total Ticket History - Number of Tickets

I'm trying to get an Output Set to spit out the total number of tickets a patron has ever bought, I know I have to set it up TR_Query_Element but I've got no idea what to put in the Data Select field or other necessary fields. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Access Control Customizations in v16

Hi all.

Has anyone had a go at using the new Tessitura Access Control Customizations?

I've had some luck with the example in the documentation here using LP_POST_RecordTicket but not sure how to handle procedures like LP_PRE_RecordOrder where the input and response are different.

Do you need to build the whole response JSON object in the procedure? I only need to change a single attribute.

Some SQL help needed

Hi folks,

We are doing a bit of data clean up and I'm stuck on a few queries I'm hoping someone can help with.

1.How many active Tessitura accounts have no email address?

2. How many active Tessitura accounts have no mailing address?

3. How many active individual records are tied to household accounts that have giving history?

4. How many active individual records are tied to household accounts that have NO giving history?

I think this is because I can't seem to wrap my head around excluding a sub query.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Exporting graph and legend from SSRS Report not as a graphic

Hello Tessitura Community,

We've built a complex graph for our Special Events team in SSRS with a legend and graphs, based off the database. The chart and legend are built part of a table to control placement. The chart shows who is sitting at any particular table at run time.

When Tessitura generates the report it saves it as a PDF or Word document and the user isn't able to copy and paste the content. The graph and legend are saved as part of a single graphic. Our Special Events team loves the report and is asking about how we can make the content copy-able. They'd like to be able to copy and paste whatever they may need from the report. (Short of saving it to a CSV and formatting a bunch of columns, we can't seem to figure out how to make this work). Functionality doesn't differ between v15 or 16.

Is there a way to adjust the SSRS report to be able to make the content as a field that could be copied and pasted.(Minimally the legend of the report).
