Hi!
Anyone have any success or good ideas for progress monitoring visualizations in Analytics OTHER than indicators? I want to increase my ink-to-white ratio, and indicators aren't sensible when you have 12+ goals to progress monitor. Would love to see the goal vs. actual listed - but I'm struggling with Analytics.
Thanks!
Back when I was fundraising, I would evaluate the actual fundraising totals by month over the past 5 fiscal years to get expected percentages per month and then apply that calculation against what the total end goal was for the fiscal year. Maybe not the soundest approach, but it did create monthly goals which (if met) would meet the total for the entire year.I submitted a Mini-Magic for TLCC2019 showing a dashboard of monthly indicator widgets with progress to goal based on a uniform per month goal amount, but I also have a version where I applied the different per month goals for a more accurate accounting.
Brian Parker (Past Member) I would love to see a .dash file for your project if you are willing to share.
Angela Fulcher (Past Member) you have hit the point. There is really not a great place to store monthly goals in Tessitura itself. You could code the monthly values into the dashboard itself. But every year you would have to go in and touch every formula in the dashboard needs to use the goal amounts. That is sort of ugly.
I've worked with an organization that used a dummy account for the membership department and they created solicitations/plans for that constituent. However, I don't know how to use multiple ecubes in a single dashboard widget. This idea of multiple data sources for a single cube is theme over on the Sisense web site (Sisense is the maker of the technology that Tessitura Analytics uses.)
Yes! The limitations of not being able to join cubes is frustrating. Glad we aren't the only ones!
