The community sandbox is a place for you to explore upcoming features of the Tessitura web application. All members of the Tessitura community are invited, and we encourage your participation and feedback. You can request access by emailing sandbox@tessituranetwork.com.

Tessitura community sandbox changes

Hello, current and future Tessitura sandbox users!

We wanted to let you know about some recent changes we’ve made to our sandboxes.

Version 16 includes many new features and enhancements. As we develop new features, you can experience them in the v16 sandbox. Moving forward, all new features will be browser-based. Therefore, the v16 Sandbox instance will only include access to the web application. This will give you the best Tessitura v16 experience. The v16 desktop application will no longer be accessible by Remote Desktop Connection.

Alongside these changes to the v16 sandbox, we have retired the v15 sandbox.

If you share a sandbox login with colleagues, please be sure to pass along this information to them.

December 2021 Tessitura Service Pack Now Available

Hi everyone,

I'm pleased to share that the December service pack, 15.1.24, is now available. Highlights of this service pack include enhancements to the Payment Gateway Activity Log and the Event Cancellation Utility. Please see the product announcement for details and for the full release notes.

As a reminder: while we remain focused on releasing Version 16, we'll be releasing service packs for Version 15.1 only as needed. Details on the Version 16 scope and timeline, as well as preliminary documentation and training materials, are always updated on the Tessitura Version 16 Hub.

tentative v16 release date?

Hi all,

Is there any update on a (tentative, even) release date for v16? The latest I've heard is "early 2022", but am not sure if that means closer to January or April, or if it looks like there might be a different time entirely? I'm thinking about my timelines for next year, and having more of an idea when v16 is coming would be so helpful!

Vimeo OTT Tessitura integration 1.1 (TVOD) released July 15, 2021

I'm pleased to announce that the v1.1 release of the Vimeo OTT-Tessitura integration is now available. This new release introduces the Vimeo OTT TVOD (transaction video on demand) product, creating a seamless way for you to sell a variety of Vimeo products through Tessitura on a pay-per-view basis.

About the integration

The Vimeo OTT-Tessitura integration allows your organization to provide digital content via your Vimeo OTT channel while managing the transactions and constituents in Tessitura. The initial integration released in February 2021 focused on the Vimeo OTT SVOD (subscription video on demand) product.

The integration now includes the following front-end components:

A custom screen to easily map Tessitura performances to Vimeo product right from Tessitura (new in v1.1)
A suite of reports to review Vimeo OTT activity, review set up and troubleshoot issues (new in v1.1)
A custom screen to display the Vimeo OTT login and product on constituent records (enhanced in v1.1)
A HTML email template sample for customer communications (enhanced in v1.1)

Requirements

Tessitura Version 15.1.16 or higher
Annual license to Tessitura Integration Gateway
Subscription to the Vimeo OTT plan (Growth or Enterprise level recommended); for details, see the Vimeo OTT website

I'm pleased to announce the release of our Vimeo OTT Tessitura Integration!

The Vimeo OTT Tessitura Integration gives your organization the key to providing digital content via your Vimeo OTT channel while managing the transactions and constituents in Tessitura. Our initial integration release focuses on the Vimeo OTT SVOD (subscription video on demand) product and creates a seamless way for you to manage constituent accounts and access via Tessitura. This integration is driven by the power of Tessitura constituencies, which can be linked to a ticket purchase, a membership or donation, or applied via our bulk management tools. The 1.0 release manages syncing accounts and SVOD product access into Tessitura, so your organization’s staff always know who has access and why — all automatically.

The integration includes the following front-end components:

A custom screen to display the Vimeo OTT link (login) and product on constituent records
A report to review Vimeo OTT account creation activity and troubleshoot accounts without email
A HTML email template sample for communication to your patron

Requirements

Tessitura Version 15.1.16 or higher
Annual license for use
Subscription to the Vimeo OTT plan (Growth or Enterprise level recommended). For details, see the Vimeo OTT website.

February 2021 Tessitura 15.1.17 Update Now Available

Hi Everyone,

The February service pack is now available for download or installation! It applies to 15.1 only, there is not a 15.0 release this month.

This update has several important features and fixes:

We've updated the behavior of the Checkout API request for both SOAP and REST so that when you have the outside authorization flag set to true, and pass an account token with the request, the account token will be associated with the transaction. This is how most members expected the functionality to work, so we are updating the APIs to be in line with that expectation. If you use TNEW with Hosted payments, for example, previously the account token wouldn't have been linked to hosted payment transactions. Now, it is being linked as you'd expect.
We have fixed a defect with the Scatter Map widget in Analytics. Be sure to check the release notes for more details!

We have also fixed two issues with the REST API:

The resource POST TXN/Packages/Search was not returning super packages containing performances that fell into a passed Performance Start/End Date period. It now returns these packages.
Deleting an unseated sub line item using Web/Cart/{sessionKey}/LineItems/{lineItemId}/SubLineItems/{subLineItemId} no longer throws a "No seats found for specified performance or package" error.

TNEW 7.39.1 Released! Mobile Opt-In & Queue-It v3.5

We have released 7.39.1 to TNEW Sites which includes exciting new Mobile Opt-In functionality and the ability to upgrade to version 3.5 of Queue-It, plus a lot more. Please review the release notes for more details.

Mobile Opt-In
TNEW now provides a much more robust method for not only capturing but clearly differentiating mobile phone numbers from other phone number types. With additional options to associate contact permissions and/or contact point purposes to allow patrons to opt-in to the communications, you can better manage and send communications to their mobile phone via a third-party SMS messaging service. You can also now configure the existing phone number field to be required, optional or hidden. For more information, please review the feature documentation in our help system.

Virtual Waiting Room – Queue-It version 3.5 now available
With this release, Queue-It v3.5 will now be available to all of our TNEW members. While we are excited to support the new version of Queue-It, we recommend that you contact our support team at hello@tessituranetwork.com before upgrading to the new version to ensure everything is working as expected whether for your next onsale or virtual experience. For more information, please review our documentation in our help system.

This release also includes an important update in support of customizations which depend upon specific functionality on TNEW. Please review our recent support alert for more details. There are also quite a few defect fixes and small enhancements included in this release.

Update on Vimeo OTT Integration Release Timeline

Happy 2021!

I wanted to give those that are following this integration a quick update on some small changes to the timeline. During testing (and most importantly load testing) we've uncovered some hear-to unknown architectural items in the Vimeo OTT API that puts a bit of a throttle on our current integration. Unfortunately, this was not known by either team during discovery. After looking at the issue we're estimating that this will put us back about 2 weeks in our release timing. We're now aiming at a public release the first week of February.

I've updated the Integrations Roadmap accordingly and will continue to make sure that information is up to date as well as pass along any information in our January Open Studio.

December Tessitura update now available

The December update for Tessitura is now available for installation.

One note of clarification: The feature that marks virtual events as attended is a new API endpoint that members could leverage with custom solutions. We look forward to implementing this API request with a future release of TNEW Gated Content.

Contactless N-Scan improvements and December Tessitura Update

Hi Everyone,

We have two updates coming that I am sharing more information about today.

N-Scan Contactless

First, we have an update coming to the N-Scan Contactless application.

This release of N-Scan's Contactless application has two improvements.

It adds the ability to edit the messaging shown in the app to patrons when they scan, so that the default messaging can be overridden.
stability of the app has been improved after reports that the device would become unresponsive after a period of time during operation. This should now be resolved.

Look for information about a Pop Up Skill Builder and the Product Announcement soon.

December 2020 Tessitura Update (Service Pack)

We anticipate the December 2020 Tessitura update will be available the week of December 14 for you to install, or request via Hosting Services. There is only an update to 15.1 with this release, there is not a corresponding 15.0 update. The highlights include:

There is a new Tessitura Service endpoint in the REST API that allows organizations to mark attendance for events. This is useful for marking attendance to ticketed virtual events.
If you are part of a consortium, you can now have different settings for Credential emails for each member of the consortium. We recently did work to allow this for order confirmations, and that work has been extended to credential emails.
We've fixed a few important defects in this release, so please check the release notes for more detail once they are posted.

Our next application update will be in February, due to the holidays in December.
