Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Tessitura Database Administrator is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and administering the A.R.T.’s robust customer relationship management (CRM) database. The position’s primary responsibility is to administer and manage the A.R.T.’s use of Tessitura—the premier arts and cultural enterprise application designed to fully integrate all aspects of an arts organization into one database, including: ticketing, fundraising, memberships, marketing, reporting, customer relationship management, and web functionality. This person independently executes work and facilitates the collaborative effort of these cross-functional teams across the organization. The role will be responsible for supporting, developing, implementing routine and custom functions for the databases that comprise Tessitura and other applications in the A.R.T.’s environment, while ensuring data integrity. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of Tessitura and its dynamic uses by a busy arts organization, understanding not only the inner workings of Tessitura and its applications, but also how it relates to the end user, both internal and public facing. Primary responsibilities: Serve as the primary source of information and advanced troubleshooter regarding Tessitura and other database schemas, structures, and objects; this position serves as the primary liaison with the Tessitura Network staff and is a member of the A.R.T.’s Tessitura Power User group. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Fulfills day-to-day user help requests while escalating advanced issues to the Senior Analytics Officer. Supports departments with reports, lists, extractions, output sets, and more. Cleans and maintains the database including system tables and constituent records to ensure smooth operation and reliable reporting year-round. Manage seasonal administrative tasks including performance setup and maintenance, source/promo codes, GL accounts, seating capacities, and price types per Tessitura’s recommended best practices. Maintains TNEW buildouts as well as buildouts associated with the new website in coordination with the Web Developer and Marketing team to support transactional integrations between the website and Tessitura API. In-person work will primarily be completed in a shared office space in our administrative office located at 91 University Pl, Princeton, NJ. This position entails extended periods of sitting, manual dexterity for operating office equipment, and the ability to read and interpret documents, while occasionally requiring lifting and carrying objects up to 25 pounds, engaging in repetitive tasks, standing, walking, bending, and reaching within the office environment. Candidates should be comfortable with these physical demands and able to maintain productivity and focus throughout the workday.
