TNEW gift certificate email issue

I posted this in the IT/Admin forum yesterday but I thought I should post it here too just in case you guys have encountered this before.

I'm hoping someone here can help me figure out why a Gift Certificate email I have keeps sending, every minute, until midnight. Thankfully this is in our Test environment.

Here's the full story:
We have a special Black Friday offer coming up when people buy a Gift Certificate online. As such I updated some of the text in our General Order Confirmation template in the section for Gift Certificate confirmations, and I updated the text in LTR_TNEW_EMAIL_SETTINGS. We also have a template for the Gift Certificate that gets sent to the recipient. The Gift Certificate email is the one that won't stop sending even though I haven't touched anything in that template. Again, this Gift Certificate email sends every minute after I make the purchase online, and they don't stop until midnight.

ES suggested I check my Email Queue, the Email Trigger, making another template, or check the existing template. I don't know where to start with the first three of those suggestions and I've come up a little short in my search of documentation and forums. The best I could do for "check the existing template" was to just take out what I added but it made no difference.

We haven't heard of any issues with this function in Live so it could just be something funky in our Test environment, but I don't want to leave it to chance.

The offer is supposed to go Live Friday, and with it being a holiday week (i.e. lots of people out of office) so I thought I should try posting here in case someone out there knows what's going on, or where documentation for this stuff is, or how to walk me through in layperson terms.

November Meeting for bite-sized topics

Hello All!

Just dropping in here to remind people about our meeting coming up on November 7th. The theme was "bite-sized Tessitura wins" where each organization would take 5 minutes to showcase something they have created or implemented or wrangled in Tessitura of which they are very proud. So far we have no one who has accepted this challenge and spoken up. We are about a week an a half away from the meeting so I thought I should probably see if there is still interest in holding this meeting. I feel safe in assuming that this is a fairly busy time of year for most of us, so maybe it's been hard to find some time to pull something together.

Cassandra just posted RSVP for the meeting yesterday but we need some folks to volunteer to tell us about their handiest, most flashy, best timesaving, (you get the picture) Tessitura success. We're looking for at least 5 people to represent their organization for this meeting, just reach out to Cassandra or myself. If we don't reach that number by October 31st we may put this meeting on hold until the new year. We have had 4 get togethers of one kind or another this year already and maybe that'll hold us over until the new year.

Also we're always open to new topics and ideas and we always welcome help if you 'd like to dip your toe into meeting planning!

Greetings, All,

As Cassandra and I mentioned last meeting, we would love to have our next meeting be all about YOU! This is an opportunity for you to showcase something your organization has accomplished or streamlined or discovered or fill in the blank with Tessitura. We're looking for 5-7 minutes from each organization to share their successes. Once you've decided what that will be drop Cassandra or myself an email letting us know. That will help us figure out the timing during the meeting.

You might be asking, "when will the next meeting be, anyway?". I'm glad you asked! This will be virtual gathering on Tuesday, November 7th from 11:30-1:00pm

So get together with your coworkers, put on your thinking caps, and let us know what you're most proud of!

Invoicing and Payment Tracking through Tessitura

Hello everyone,

My name is Marty Wessels, and I am the Director of Audience Services at Stages Theatre Company in Hopkins. A very large portion of our business is school groups for weekday matinees, and with that we process a lot of group orders and send out a lot of ticketing invoices. Currently our invoicing process is almost completely manual, and I would love to hear how some other organizations utilize Tessitura to more effectively streamline this process. I have been in this potion just over a year now, and revamping this process has been on my wishlist for a while now!

If anyone has any big tips or ticks, I would love to hear them! I would be happy to take a work field trip to your organization, and meet in person if that worked for you. Otherwise I would be more than happy to connect over the phone.

Hi Everyone,

Cassandra and I were talking just the other day about what a great meeting we had in January (has it really been that long?!), and about what our next gathering could look like. We thought why not a little bit of socializing and a little bit of learning and collaboration?

Here's what we had in mind:

Happy Hour on April 24th, possibly at Malcolm Yards? AND (but wait, there's more) a brief 45 minute Lean Coffee on April 25th at noon. A Lean Lunch if you will.

How do folks feel about these dates? Let us know if you have any suggestions aside from Malcolm Yards, we're interested! We picked it because it looked central-ish to our locations and had convenient looking parking, but we're not locked in or anything.

We'll look for responses here, but likely send out a quick poll in the near future as that might be more convenient.

January Meetup: We need your input!

Hello Twin Cities Tessitura Community! It's time to plan for our next member meetup and we need your input.

At our next gathering, we'll feature three of our colleagues talking about No Fear Analytics: how to get started, available resources, sample dashboards, and easy tips & tricks. Come hear Leif Jurgensen from Walker Art Center, Chelsea Parker from Minnesota Orchestra, and Jenny O'Neill-Englund from Minnesota Zoo Foundation talk about how they use Analytics at their organizations. We will also do a check in on Tessitura v16: where is everyone at in the upgrade process and what learnings can we share with each other. And, finally, we'll have time for group discussion about questions and challenges that you want to bring to the table. So, start thinking about the burning questions that you want to ask your colleagues.

Now that you know what we're talking about, when is the meeting? This is where we need your help. We have two Tuesdays in mind - January 24 and January 31, 2023. Hello Twin Cities Tessitura Users!

At our last meeting we proposed getting together for an informal happy hour in early December. I don't know about you, but it kind of snuck up on me and Cassandra. This is definitely a busy time of year for all of us with holiday events, end of year giving, and vacation time but it would be nice to get together and see everyone's smiling faces, and maybe make some new connections.

Here are some details, depending on poll responses:

Date: Either December 5th (Monday) or 6th (Tuesday)

Time: 5-6:30pm

Location: Market at Malcom Yards

And this will be a pay your own way get together.

I'm just starting to look into what Donate2 has to offer, and how it might work for us at the the MN Zoo Foundation. What better way to start learning about it, warts and all (as they say), that to ask my local peers! I'm especially interested in how well it does with recurring giving.

With sales outpacing expectations and one team member out on paternity leave, we're looking for some immediate, interim support.

We're looking for someone preferably with 3-5 years experience who could assist with customer service, ticketing, and PT staff onboarding. Alternatively, we're also open to someone who has Tessitura administrator experience. The role would ideally be FT and interim (around 3 months). Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
