You may remember Open Space Discussions from TLCC. We are hosting an intimate Open Space Discussion just for PHILLYTUG members, with a special invitation to our NYCTUG members to join us! (The more the merrier!) \n During Open Space Discussions, the agenda is created onsite by the people in the room, providing multiple opportunities for intimate, small-group conversations. So if something is important enough for you to want to talk about, it&rsquo;s important enough to bring to Open Space Discussions. YOU&rsquo;RE invited to come with any ideas/topics you&rsquo;d like to discuss &ndash; so start thinking! \n Worried that you don&rsquo;t have a topic of your own? Your colleagues will have numerous topics for you to explore. Take the Lincoln Tunnel, Holland Tunnel, or GW Bridge into New Jersey, and look for signs indicating the New Jersey Turnpike or I-95 South. \n 2. Get on the New Jersey Turnpike heading South, and travel down to Exit #9- New Brunswick (Route 18) &bull; As you approach the tollbooths, it is better to choose a lane on the right hand side. &bull; After the tollbooths, you will need to make an immediate right, following the signs that say Route 18 North, and Route 1 South (Trenton). \n 3. After you merge onto Route 18, quickly get into the left hand lane. \n 4. After the road divides, go immediately to the right hand lane, because the ramp for Route 1 South-Trenton/Princeton is quickly coming up. \n 5. Travel on Route 1 South for about 20 miles. (20-30 minutes). You will pass The Westin at the Forrestal Village. Get in a right hand lane and look for signs for the Alexander Road. \n 6. Take the Alexander Road West exit, and follow it past the fourth traffic light to the traffic circle. \n 7. At the traffic circle bare right. This is University Place. The Theatre, as you will see is on the left hand side. You may park on the metered parking spaces in front of the theatre. You may also continue through the traffic circle and park along Alexander Road. \n 8. Park in any metered space around the Theatre. &bull; A new parking meter system began in November 2018. Park Princeton is a smarter parking system offering a variety of payment options, including mobile, credit card and coin payments, at new single space meters and multi-space pay stations. Parking spaces vary in price depending on location and how long you are parking for. &bull; After a certain hour, meters are free. Please read the meters for the correct pricing. &bull; Parking Tickets are $40+ for expired meters. McCarter Theatre is not responsible for parking tickets and there is no overnight parking on any Princeton Street. \n FROM PENNSYLVANIA BY CAR \n Take I-95 into New Jersey. Once in New Jersey turn North on Route 1 to Princeton/New Brunswick. Travel North about 8 miles. Take the Alexander Road exit, turn left. Follow steps #7 and #8 above. \n FROM ROUTE 206 NORTH \n When you arrive at the traffic light at the intersection of 206 and Route 27 (Nassau Street), turn left. Take an immediate right at the next light on University Place. McCarter is about three blocks down, the last building on the right before the road curves. Follow step #8 above. \n DIRECTIONS TO McCARTER THEATRE BY TRAIN To commute from New York via train, take the New Jersey Transit Northeast Corridor train towards Trenton leaving out of New York Penn Station to Princeton Junction, transferring to the Dinky Shuttle train with your final destination of PRINCETON. A round trip ticket to PRINCETON is $32.50. If you do not buy your ticket at the station you will be charged an additional $5 on the train. You can buy your tickets at the window or from the vending machines in Penn Station. If you use the MyTix app, be sure to activate your ticket just before getting on the train (the ticket stays active for no more than two hours). \n Sit in the back of the train. The stop after New Brunswick is Princeton Junction. You should get off of the train at the Princeton Junction stop. You will then TRANSFER to the small DINKY train that will take you to the Princeton Station. The theater is just a short 5-minute walk from the Princeton train station. Step off the train and head to your right toward North Station Drive. You will see a large set of stone steps leading up between the buildings of the Lewis Center for the Arts. Take these steps up and follow the path past two small stone buildings on your right (Cargot Brasseire and The Dinky Bar) until you reach a large cobblestone crosswalk on your left. McCarter Theatre Center will be the large brick complex across the crosswalk on University Place.
